What are you fave easy recipes? Red meat please as I'm needing to seriously ramp up my iron intake.
Our cleaner broke our oven yesterday so I'm embracing my slow cooker which I've not used for months and months. I don't like having a lot of preparation faff so easy but yummy recipes with red meat please!
We had a great bolognese tonight and I think I might try a beef, mushroom and red wine casserole on tuesday.... any recipes appreciated!

Stifado - usually made with beef but I tend to use lamb as its more tender.
Cubed meat, brown in a frying pan, add chopped onions and garlic. Add a sprinkle of cumin and cinnamon and salt and pepper. Optional to add a glass of red wine. Simmer and add a tin of chopped tomatoes. Transfer to slow cooker pot and add a stick of cinnamon. To up with stock if required. Sow cook for as long as you can. We eat this with rice and pitta bread although it also goes nicely with mash.

I did a beef joint the other day with mushrooms and a bolognese type sauce. Was delicious as meat just shredded away. Pulled pork is also a good one to do.

We have beef casserole regularly in winter. I tend to use the Colemans or Schwartz packet mixes and add casserole veg. My absolute favourite is the Schwartz Beef and Ale Stew - delicious!

Thanks all. I don't like packet mix type things but can look at making sauces myself, and the 'stifado' sounds superb!
Shall check out the link WS, I have a great book but am a bit bored of the recipes.
Will look online for specific recipes!
