U worked out how to access apps faster on my phone. I was exceptionally grateful and now use this way rather than scrolling through menus like I used to do. I was telling my Dad about this and how impressed I had been. His reaction? Well how could she do that she can't read. Well no Dad she can't but then all the menus use icons raher than words so she doesn't need to be able to read never a psoitive word to be said eh?

My mum would've given the same reaction as your dad QI. O is pretty nifty on the iPad, he knows to press the home button, scrolls across to the folder with his apps in and then chooses the one he wants. I've had to turn off any in app purchases and set the password to be requested anytime you want to download something to avoid any nasty shocks!

I've tried to explain that at that age they learn new things faster than we can think of it but he is pretty dismissive

I think it's pretty amazing what young kids can do nowadays!

My Mum admits that at the age of 4, C knew how to do more thing on the computer than she did. Now, at 9, he is asked by my Mum how to do certain things she can't do. He is also teaching my Dad how to use a computer.
J is 18 months, and knows which picture to tap on my phone to get his songs on.

It always stuns me when O picks up something new especially if he's been shown once, iyswim.
