She has been whingy and spectacularly grumpy about every little thing for the past few days, moany at night and screaming until i let her sleep in our bed, refusing lunch and dinner and only wanting easter eggs and biscuits etc. I was seriously running out of patience and wondering what the heck was wrong with her. We had both kids in the car this afternoon, and I turned round to tell her something and realised she looked very yellow - her skin and whites of her eyes.
Within a few minutes she was lolling her head around and falling asleep, so phoned the doctor and drove straight there, poor little love has infections in both ears that look like they've been there a few days and of course her body's stupid reaction to this is to stop producing blood and kill off the existing blood cells, so she now has jaundice, antibiotics, and a very neurotic mother who keeps going upstairs to prod her whilst she sleeps to make sure she's ok! I wish her body would just give her a break, she bounces from one virus to the next, and when she can't fight anything herself it's tough going. She gets through anti b's like most kids get through tubes of toothpaste.

Gee whiz Catarina - just reading it scared the pants out of me! I often think of you and send vibes. This is the first winter we have got through without a hospital admission for U, just B thsi time.

Oh gosh, poor you and her. Sending lots of get well soon vibes to her (and I know it's not anywhere near the same but I think most kids have had more illness than usual this year due to the rubbish weather - I know mine have and it's getting me down, so goodness knows how stressed you are)

Thanks ladies, I'm fine, just getting really fed up of it all on her behalf. She was a lot better in herself by bedtime with a dose of calpol, but the speed from which she goes to seemingly fine to seriously downhill is a nightmare, watching her like a hawk tonight and will put her in to bed with me when I go up.

Oh yes, and we have more blood tests to do now obviously She loves those. Twice in the next week, I'll take earmuffs for me and Jack!

She's like a different girl today and we were able to come and see Nana and Grandad at the seaside and play on the beach. The yellow has subsided and no temp, hurrah! Thank you for the well wishes :)

just seen this and glad to see your update at the bottom.
My mum always says when we were little and a PITA it would turn out we were ill, she says it to me now if my 2 are driving me crazy.
