We have to go and pick a stage 2 car seat for my daughter and don't know where to start!
Any recommendations? Or points to look out for when choosing one?

Recent research recommends we keep babies facing rearwards as long as possible. Some were suggesting 4 years. The idea being the forceof the potential impact being absorbed by the seat and that baby's necks are not very strong for their large heads. In practice though we've had to turn the seat to face the front by about 15 months, depending on the size of child
I have a Britax First Class .It faces forward and backwards and is very simple to fit and to get a good tight fit every time. You can get someone to fit your seat when you buy it,which is a good idea to make sure it 's fitted correctly, but you need to be able to do that yourself too, you'll have to take it out at some time and need to be able to put it back..It has good deep sides comfy thick padded seat and straps.Reclines easy so their head doesn't flop when they're asleep. We bought one for Arwen, and like it enough to buy another a year later for Matilda. It is a big heavy seat, which is something we like about it.

Thanks for the info. It's a real mine field when choosing a new car seat!
