I can't believe its the end of the school year today, where has the time gone?
The weather for everyone but us on the North East Coast is looking lovely again, its typical that the weather has changed at the beginning of the school holidays.
Anyway, today I'm at work, hoping my boss will let me go at 2.30pm. The afternoon will be spent chilling in the garden enjoying the last nice day for a few days and topping up my tan and sinking a few cold beers while the kids play in the paddling pool.
Tomorrow J is at a party in the morning, in the afternoon we are going to go out on our bikes or too the park and maybe to a pub on the beach so the kids can play.
Our council have free concerts on a Sunday in a park on the sea front so we are meeting up with loads of friends and their kids and going to watch Toploader and The South (the old Beautiful South without Paul Heaton). We'll take a picnic and a cool box full of beers

I'm working today, but not going rehearsal tonight as I need to finish packing!
Tomorrow morning I'm going away for a week down to Dorset, just me (well, another lady I sing with is going too) on a singing course - I'm very nervous as I've no idea what to expect, although also very excited as I get to do something I absolutely love doing all day every day for a whole week! I'm meeting my friend at the train station tomorrow morning at just after 7am and we're travelling down together. She's been quite a few times before, but she's still really nervous too.
So then the rest of my weekend will be mostly spent singing I'm going to really miss C and MrDD though as I don't get back until next Saturday - it will be the longest I've been away from C, I've been away a few days before but not a whole week. No idea if I've packed the right stuff to wear etc, and probably won't get to come on here much while I'm away.

Tonight, got H's kids. His ex has decided WE need parenting classes, after SHE sent her 5.5yr old to our house with a POTTY, and we wouldn't let him use it.
Tomorrow, a big family BBQ at my Mums. There will be some family members there, who I haven't seen for years.
Sunday, going to a car boot with my friend.

Tomorrow morning I have a nail appointment then back to the house to chill in garden / go park / laze about with Louie. Suinday pretty much the same. although we might go beach.
I'm off work Monday / Tuesday. I'm meeting Lauren28 & hopefully Munchkin too Monday for picnic in the park. Tuesday not sure yet maybe Chessington

CP - I though all schools finished today. When do yours go back?
Deedee have a lovely time in Dorset, if the weather stays like it has been it will be gorgeous.
AK - she has a cheek doesn't she? I hope your H put her straight. Enjoy the bbq tomorrow.
Belle - Ooh a nice long weekend for you. Where is the nearest beach to you? Sounds like a nice few days you have planned.

The nearest would be Camber Sands I think, about an hours drive but we won't go there we don't like it. We like Whistable, Herne Bay, Broadstairs or Dymchurch although the tide comes in very early, about 2-3pm - they are about 1.5hrs drive

It will be lovely and hot down your way on the beach, its a great way to keep the kids entertained. We are lucky that we can walk to the beach although it does have its down side as this weekend the whole country will be sweltering and us on the NE coast are going to be cloudy and cooler.

It's still going to be warm though isn't it? I thought early 20's for you? Out of interest what tme does the tide come in?
19/07/2013 at 10:06
Not really, on my weather app it says 17/18 which is sh!t especially if theres a bit of wind.
I haven't a clue about tide times so I googled and this is what I found for today but it varies hugely every day. Even when the tide comes in on our beach it doesn't come in that far, there is still a few hundred metres of sand from the start of the beach to the water.

The tide at Dymchurch comes right in at 2pmish and that's it for the day hich is a bit useless really
19/07/2013 at 10:19
Yeah I suppose it is when it takes you 1.5hrs to get there.
19/07/2013 at 18:51
Belle - tide times vary each day everywhere. Have just looked up Dymchurch, high tides are 10am and 11pm on Sunday, HTH.

Yes I thought tides vary throughout the year, so it might be better (or worse I suppose) than you thought
