I have seen the Sun doing the £15 holidays and it may be our only way to have a break this year - any tips/ park recs?

We are looking at the three near Camber (Butlins, Pontins and Park Resorts) as they will have the most to do, and we are yet to decide the 4 th.
Last year we went to Devon Cliffs but it doesn't look like its an option this year :-(

We've done a couple. I think they are worth it.

We've done a couple too, really like them. They are basic but you can upgrade for a bit of money when you get there. We went to Weymouth in Dorset and Dorchester in Dorset. I love Bournemouth sea front and beach. Worth the money IMO x

Hi 1stBaby, we do them every year, not this yr as we are abroad but will be doing next year I imagine, last year we went to Weymouth park and it was lovely. The beaches that way are gorgeous and was loads to do. The park was a really nice one with a kids playground next to the bar/restaurant place so it meant the kids could play whilst we had a drink or two! The pool was lovely there too xx
ETA, weymouth park is a Haven, the Havens are pretty good . We always upgrade our caravan .

What area are you looking at?

ANywhere really, not as far as Cornwall but not too close to home.Munchkin do not go to the pontins at camber, thats the one we abandoned last year!
Look on trip advisor! it was beyond rank!

Another here who left Pontins in Camber early a few years ago, it really was dire so avoid like the plague. Other than that, we've not had a bad one yet out of about 12. Pontins at Brean Sands was good fun for kids and far nicer than Camber.

Don't do pontins at Burnham! I think it really depends on the park as to how good they are. Trip advisor should help.

Haven at Prestatyn Sands is nice, as is the one at New Quay (Wales).
Golden Sands near Blackpool is grim!

Don't do Nodes Point at IOW its a fookin hole!
Aren't the £15 holiday for abroad and £9.50 ones for UK?

We have been to primrose valley in Scarborough, was good.

We looked at doing it, but there was so many things not included, ie cleaning, entry into the swimming pools, take loo rolls with you, towels, bedding etc, for us, it was actually cheaper to book direct, get the accommodation that you want.

QI why not the Filey one

We are going to Devon cliffs this year on a caravan holiday, if we enjoy it H and I said we will do similar ever year with the sun as a cheap gateway. Although we have never done it before so can't help. Pj xx

Are we the only people who find these UK breaks not cheap in the slightest? We've just spent over 500quid on a 4 day break. NOT including accommodation (hotel & chalet plus ferry) or PPW tickets. Almost a grand for 4 days in the bloody rain. Poxy UK breaks.

Belle don't tell me that... we haven't done it before so ill tell you when we get back!! I doubt we will spend as much on food as its only h , I and big R who will have children's meal. Xxxx
16/04/2013 at 13:42
I guess that is excessive because we don't cook or eat in the chalet but it's so damned expensive. 1 of the girls & L was eating free on 2 of the 4 days as well because it was buy 1 adult meal get a childs meal free. We had some loevly meals, and I even took my own wine to the disco of an evening but so expensive.

Oh so maybe I will be spending that much again we are like you take snacky food but won't be cooking ect. Will buy wine and beers for caravan too but looks as if we will spend a small fortune aswell! Xxx
