Just taken in our first Tesco delivery for what feels like years.
I'd forgotten just how bizarre they pack things. I had a carrier bag that just had a pepper in it!
At least I didn't get any random substitutions... mum's friend had Tampax replaced with a Twix fun size multipack! She was laughing so much that she couldn't tell the driver she didn't want to take the alternative!

The number of bags Tesco uses drives me mad! Not very environmentally friendly!
As for the Tampax/Twix....I always crave chocolate when on my period so some use I suppose!!

With Tesco you can choose not to have bags. I'm sure when you go to checkout there is an option "without bags". They just bring my shopping in the crates.
I accidentally clicked the 'no bags' button last time and had to empty everything out of the crates while the guy stood there watching - mistake!!

Yes, I've made the no bags mistake too. It was a big shop. It'd have taken forever to unpack from the crates!

You can give the bags back next time, they'll ask if you have any to return x

We always have no bags on deliveries, what's the problem with emptying the crates?, you just chuck it all in the kitchen and put it away later.

wCatarinas, I never have the bags and just take it out of the crate and place it on the kitchen worktops whilst the driver waits and sometimes helps.

I never bother with bags either. Even when we do click and collect I take the food from the crates and put them into bags in my boot, it takes a bit longer but not much really.

I always have bags as I reuse them. Then I save them for collecting by the driver. I end up with stacks.

No problem empyting the crates, the problem was the awkward 5 minutes whilst they guy stood there watching me pile stuff on top of all the dirty dishes and other crap that was already on my worktops as I hadn't realised it would not come in bags.

The Twix thing really made me laugh. It reminds me of when i worked at sainsburys and i heard of a story......all the checkout staff are told to make conversation with the customers. So a lady comes through the checkout of this young lad (19ish) with some tampax. He says to her "do you get the hump like my mum does when shes on?". Apparently the woman took it all very well. Hahaha. I think he would have been better off to just not say anything at all to her.

I get no bag delivery too. Stuff just gets stuck on worksurfaces or the floor and put away when the drivers gone. I love delivery, so much easier.

I check the 'no bag' box and still get bags! Idiots.
