Quick regarding tescos home deliverys.. iv not done a online order but what with being 39 weeks pregnant i thought id do xmas order for delivery Sunday.. But just gone in to make sure I have everything (when made order it says i can make changes so many hours b4delivery)and something's are saying not available.. Does that mean I won't get them ..eg Christmas pudding?? And manderines.. If that's the case I feel like I should cancel order.. What's the pointif ur not gunna get basic Xmas food.. Il have to go to the shops anyway...or if I get now will end up with 2 Xmas Puds ... So should have used tescos b4 a important shop..

Alot of my items are not available for home delivery - things like mince pies etc - so really either order the bulk and nip to the shops. Depends what you want? I wanted mince pies so grabbed some this morning as they will keep.

If it says unavailable for home delivery I'd order the bulk and then pop out for the rest.

I'd do what everyone else says - order the bulk and then pop out.. Especially if your buying things like Xmas booze/drinks and other heavy bits.. With me being so pregnant too, i'm also buying in extra "store cupboard" bits, so I wish I had taken this option!
I am also very jealous you can still get delivery this side of Xmas, no delivery slots at all in my area, all booked litrerally weeks ago, gah!

I commented on your FB as well but some of the bits are preordered. I know this happened with our turkey order. It means you can't add to those things iyswim as there's no more stock. I booked my slot on 2nd December for 23rd!!!

I would also order what you can and then pop out for the smaller things.
Tescos is annoying for that though as who wants to pop out on Sunday to get the things they originally said you could have?!
I refuse to use Tesco for deliveries any more, we've always lived in first-floor or above flats and even though this is specified in the delivery instructions the drivers have ALWAYS moaned about it and been so grumpy. I use Ocado if anything now as they bring stuff right into my kitchen as a matter of course and are friendly and polite.

I had my sainsburys delivery today. Not a single substitution or item out of stock. I'll pop out for veg etc on Christmas Eve.

I don't fancy your chances of getting a delivery slot now!
