CHRISTMAS SHOPPING YAY!!!!!!!!! I got everything I needed and more in town this afternoon, even with J in tow. I'm over the moon. Going to get it all wrapped and out of the way now whoop whoop.

I'm trying to forget about all the wrapping though.

Ah its a lovely feeling. I've got a couple of bits still to wrap because they haven't come yet but nothing much.
Oh and of course I opened a bottle to celebrate, any excuse is good enough at Christmas

How do you know what they will want in 12 months time????? I wouldnt' have a clue? I suppose with J you can buy toys for his age but C? I struggle for E every year and wouldn't have a clue what she would like/ask for in a years time.

J is easy, he'll only be 2.5 yrs. As for C, I start putting money on a game card, and get computer games nearer Christmas, when I know what he wants. It gets harder to buy in advance as they get older. He also wants an updated ipod or laptop, so thats next Christmas' main present sorted, so can get accessories for that. I've already got about £120 saved in a tin at my Mums house for next Christmas.

Ah right well that's a good idea about the games card because they are so expensive aren't they. I'm glad E's just into her laptop so doesn't ask for games but I know once J gets to that age he will be into X Box or the likes.

C is all about his gadgets, and Lego, that's another expensive thing he likes. New release games can be £40 a pop, so I get him pre-owned ones most of the time.

I'm dreading lego. I think boys toys are so boring. I loved picking girls stuff, dolls, princesses, fancy dress outfits etc but with older boys I haven't got a clue.

Ive only ever known boys toys, even as a kid. I was a proper tom boy, loved my Lego. C has some Lego that was mine.
Who'd have thought i'd grow up to be a Hello Kitty fan.
