I went to the cinema today and saw the trailer for the above film before the feature. It reduced me to sobbing tears quite quickly and felt it was an inappropriate trailer for a 12 film. Anyone else have any opinions on this?

I've just watched it on u tube. Looks brilliant but quite scary.
The trailer said PG 13 parents strongly cautioned. What film was it shown before?

Not seen anything for it, but how did you find solo cinema-going? X

I seen the trailer the other day. Looks a dramatic film but appears to be a happy story for the family in it???? I would quite like to see it.

I saw the trailer before Breaking dawn. I didn't think it looked great, but can see it being emotional for a lot of people.

My initial thought was 'they can't make a film about THAT!'
However, whilst it feels raw, it has been 8 years. 9/11 films were made in a shorter timescale.
The film actually has very good reviews about how sensitivity it was put together. I suspect it will be a bit of a heart-wrencher.

I saw a trailer for it yesterday too, was also watching a 12 film. I didn't think it was inappropriate actually, that didn't occur to me, but I did think it looked stunning and have also heard very good things about it. I would definitely like to see it, as sad as I'm sure it will be.

I saw this before Skyfall last month and I was in tears just watching the snippets from the trailer (I cry easily!). I did wonder why on earth they'd want to make a film about the tsunami, as a parent it's the stuff of my nightmares - not my cup of tea at all. I didn't watch any of the 9/11 films because I didn't see the point of those either.

I'm off to see it today. I wouldn't say it's inappropriate really, when I think of stuff I watched at that age it's pretty tame!

How was it missus S?
We almost went this afternoon but spent too long shopping, then we were starving, so decided to go at the weekend instead. I still need to see Twilight too!

It was good. Def a bit more emotional than I imagined- but I am known to burst into spontaneous tears ATM anyway. I think it makes it so because you know it really happened, but saying that so did the titanic and we watched that at 11 years old at the cinema. Still would say its suitable for 12 year kids though easy.

Missus S we must be a similar age because I went to watch Titanic when I was 10/11 and I was convinced the police were going to turn up, I was going to be arreested and put in prison for watching a '12' film. Haha.
I shall try and get all our weekend jobs/shopping/visits done quickly so we can go and see The Impossible on Sunday.

Hah! I think I was about 11 ish when that came out. But yes, it's worth a watch!
