So here it is the first meal planning bread of 2014. We can use it to share meal ideas, recipes, shopping lists and for those on the healthy eating wagon a place to share healthy meals.
Shopping at the weekend for the following meals:
Sunday: chicken roast (swede and carrot mash, peas, cauliflower)
Monday: left over chicken used to make chicken casserole ( carrots, mushrooms, onions)
Tuesday: salmon with roasted vegetables ( sweet potatoes, peppers, cherry tomatoes, red onion, courgette)
Wednesday: pork chops with broccoli, peas and rice
Thursday: lasagne with salad
Friday: chicken salad
Saturday: chicken fajitas

You are so good with your cooking and meals Munchkin! This has been our week so far which is pretty typical:
Sunday: Chinese chicken, noodles & 5spice Veg (tenderstems, butternut squash, monge tout, sugarsnaps)
Monday: Kids had curry & naan breads, H had spicy chicken drumsticks & salad, I had homemade chicken noodle soup (stock, meat from chicken wings roasted on Sunday, cabbage, shitake mushrooms)
Tuesday: Kids had sausage, mash & peas, H had spicy chicken breast & salad, I had chicken breast with roasted veg (courgette, aubergine, butternut squash & cherry toms)
Wednesday: Kids had shepherds pie, me and H had stir fry prawns & veg

I'll be taking ideas from this thread.
Our week so far, has been
Sunday - Roast chicken, roast veg (carrots, parsnips, baby corn, pots), stuffing, and broccoli.
Monday - Sweet chilli chicken, using left over chicken and corn, with rice. Kids had stir fry, with plain chicken, corn and noodles, water chestnuts and beansprouts
Tuesday - kids had Baked potatoes, with cheese, beans and coleslaw. We had steak, chunky oven chips, grilled toms, and onion rings.
Wednesday - Sage and onion sausages, mustard mash and sweetcorn.
Tonight will be beer can chicken, with hasselback potatoes.
We eat ALOT of chicken!!

Some excellent inspiration here, So far this week we have had
Roast Gammon and pasta (oops - forgot to buy potatoes)
Party food (my niece was 18)
Gammon and chips
Baked potatoes and tuna and sweetcorn
Not sure what we're having tonight as my eldest is going to her grandads for tea.
I am definitely going to be using some of your ideas for next week now.

Ooo, I love a good meal plan!
I shop on a Monday for the weeks meals so this week we have had/are having:
Monday - Chicken Kiev, New Potatoes and Broccoli
Tuesday - Pork & Apple Sausages, Mashed Potato and Peas
Wednesday - One Pot Pasta - www.youtube.com/watch
Thursday - Chilli Con Carne (with lots of added veg) and Jacket Potatoes
Friday - Battered Fish, Chips & Peas
Saturday - Beef Stirfry
Sunday - Christmas Turkey & Bacon Risotto

still reading this thread with interest. We eat out at the weekends all the tine, be it a takeaway or a meal. I think Sunday just gone is the first Sunday in ages we've eaten a cooked meal at home.

Ooh I'll be taking ideas from this thread as I seem to cook the same things over and over again. I usually go shopping on a Sunday or Monday for the week. Two nights of the week H is nightshift so I don't cook for me or him, just for the kids. This has been our week so far.
Roast pork dinner.
Jacket potato - for me tuna and salad, H had beans and cheese, kids had chicken and tomato pasta.
Kids had chicken goujons, carrot and potato waffles and broccoli, H was at the match on the night so I just had a ready meal.
Kids had scrambled egg and beans on toast, H was nightshift so I had soup.
Kids having sausage, mash and veg, I'll be having a ham salad sandwich as H nightshift.
Kids having pizza and wedges, me and H chicken enchiladas.
Kids having picky tea (sandwiches, chicken goujons, sausage rolls, pringles, chocolate fingers etc) me and H will be having chilli and rice.
Not sure for kids but me and H will get a take away - once kids are in bed

loving some of these ideas!!
Sunday - we are at my parents for lunch
Monday - Salmon fishcakes with CArrots and Mash
Tuesday - Stew (Beef, Potato, Butternut squash, parsnip, onion and Carrots) our favourite meal in a bowl!
Wednesday - Cod with Chilli sauce, cauliflower and brocoli fried in garlic
Thursday - something mince based (will probably be chilli)
Friday - homemade carrot soup or something on toast
Saturday - no idea

Here;s mine for the next week:
Friday: Sausages with vegetables and potatoes
Saturday: crispy chicken with tomatoes www.jamieoliver.com/.../tender-and-crisp-chicken-legs-with-sweet-tomatoes
Sunday: pasta bolognaise
Monday: left over bolognaise
Tuesday: Spanish baked eggs
Wednesday: either breaded chicken breast or a fish cake (I think H will want the chicken) There's one each of these that need eating up
Thursday: Home made soup

Love this thread for ideas. This is our planner for next week:
Tonight - roast chicken and chips
Fri - shepherd pie (normal and sweet potato mash on mince)
Sat - out
Sun - chicken wrapped in bacon stuffed with cheese, mash, green veg
Mon - spaghetti bolognaise
Tues - lamb casserole
Weds - sausage and mash
Thurs - chicken stir fry with noodles

This is ace! I've been wanting to meal plan for ages, tried it in november but lasted a week so I'll be using loads of ideas here from next week. Thanks ladies!

This is what we've had this week for dinner:
Monday - Prawn Jambalaya
Tuesday - lentil and vegetable cobbler
Wednesday - roasted vegetable couscous
Thursday - new potato and tuna salad
Friday - veggie chilli
Saturday - fish pie
For breakfast this week, we've had Weetabix, crumpets, and breakfast burritos.
All the recipes (except Weetabix and the crumpets) have come from the Change 4 Life app.
