I've never bought concert tickets myself, someone has always got them for me so I need tips.
1D have announced they will play at the Stadium of Light next May, the tickets come out next Saturday. I want tickets for E for Christmas.
This is obviously a huge gig and tickets will go quickly. So tips please.
Is it better to use the internet or phone or both?

Internet. Sign up to the stadium or ticket master now so you have log in details ready. As soon as they go live get online. Have as many screens open as possible. I've got 4 household accounts for ticketmaster one in each of our names / email addresses so I have better chance of getting tickets.
And I always ask on here for 02 priority codes as they get first dibs on all 02 gigs.
I'm always do unlucky getting tickets when they open but I always check seetickets.com, ticketmaster.ie, ticket master.co.uk, ticketline .co.uk there are a few more I think..
I'd always recommend using a credit card when buying tickets as I've been 'done' a few times x

Belle, I've got an account with Ticket Master. I've checked on the Stadium website which has said that they aren't selling any tickets but have given the website details of the ones who are selling them, so I will sign up to those as well. I'll tell my friend to do the same.
I'll be GUTTED if I don't get any.

How many dates are they doing at that stadium? As long as you aren't fussed on dates then I'd aim for least popular Sun / Mon nights vs Fri / Sats

They have only released one date so far, a Wednesday night.

Don't say that Belle.

Exatly what Belle said....also I would imagine they will release more dates if the demand is there..thats usually the case.....

What Belle said about registering with the ticket agencies beforehand. Also it's worth checking the telephone number on the website which gives you alternative numbers for 0845 numbers and the like, sometimes you get a direct number for the company which isn't constantly engaged.

I'm sure they'll probably release more dates. So sometimes if you can't through straight away, keep a look out the same day/next day as they then release extra dates. We got tickets for someone (can't remember who now, how bad is that?!) thanks to that approach.
