I'm part of a FB group that supports families who's children have tracheostomy tubes (breathing tubes in their neck). Although Luke no longer needs his I remain part of the group to help support other people who are beginning their journey and give hope and advice. I hope you don't mind me posting this link. the parents help put together the video so that people can understand the challenges and joy that comes with having a medically complex child.
19-25 May 2013 is Global Tracheostomy Awareness Week. This is the story of what life is like when your child has a tracheostomy. (plays with sound)

I look after children with trachys, and teach parents trachy care. I was totally unaware that trachy week existed, oops! It's completely life changing for parents but they cope amazingly.
