Sorry to hear that Zoe.
We'll keep you busy, like the others say.
Bit of peace nice, but not four weeks.
Cyber hugs, and an indecent amount of cyberchocolate and cybercookies.
Never ending teacup/wine bottle depending where your mood takes you

I am new to the site but just wanted to say that I understand how you feel. My husband was in the merchant navy for 10 years and got an 'office job' when we decided to have our little girl but he is away more than ever as he still works for a shipping company.
As my little one has gotten older (she is now 16 months) it's actually easier when he is away Less washing, cooking, cleaning etc
Hope the next 4 weeks pass quickly for you

hey girls thanks for the comments they've put a smile on my face
laura i know what you mean about it being easier as they get older charlie is 20 months and is doing so much at the moment which always keeps a smile on my face and there is definatly less washing etc...when john is away lol.
he's hoping to be back at the end of the month but it depends on the ships work load if not he'll definatley be home for christmas leave then he deploys in jan for 8 months so at least this bout of him being away is getting me back into the routine of him being out of the uk again (he was away last year for 8 months to)
oh well can't complain cause i knew what his job was when i met him and married him its just i miss him so much and he misses soooo much of charlie growing and changing
29/09/2009 at 22:12
Oh that's sad for you hun,but I'm pleased you said you realised that when you married him.
You must love him loads. I doubt I'd cope. Well,I'd say I could then have a paddy when he went. You two are obviously very strong and in a rock solid marriage x how nice to hear.
It's sad they miss out,but most fellas who come home every evening prob miss the most important stuff. Ian was very lucky, that Jc walked on a sunday,he missed Toms first steps

i missed jacks first crawl, i was in a mood and said you can do bedtime, silly cow! ive learnt about sulking!
'' I doubt I'd cope. Well,I'd say I could then have a paddy when he went.''
Actually made me LOL that is me, im fine im fine then i have a fit when its too late! muppet lol!

Paddies get you knowhere.I could/sometimes do sulk for hours. Then I realise it's actually only me I'm upsetting. He has to be told out right, you're ****ing me off.Don't do it.
I don't do confrontation well.I've a tendency to go so far over the top.
My approach is treat him like one of the kids, can't be far wrong

if i tell andrew hes f***ing me off, i get the childish response of am i? am i? *pokes* ahhh, are you mardy, jack mummys mardy, tickle her,
sometimes i just want to hit him!
I already feel sorry for lola i know when shes a teen roo and jack will tease and wind her up something cronic, maybe us girls will move out!
Andrews immune to sulks, im a pro, was an only child too long, hes THE only person it doesnt work on, i hate it!!! i end up forgetting what i was sulking about in the first place, im childish when it comes to petty disagreements!

Stupid thing is I do cope, very well home alone, just try and lay on a guilt trip to big fella who has life of riley. Your'e right tho, never works,as you said Jo,only end up narking myself off!!!
I do confrontation, big fella doesnt. so that's the end of that!!!!!
