Me and H go to London in 2 weeks. We arrive in London around 1pm on the Tuesday and don't leave until 8pm on the Wednesday.
We haven't got any plans for the Tuesday so looking for ideas. We are staying at a hotel on the Albert Embankment and were planning on going past Buckingham Palace to Trafalgar Square and pottering around there, do a bit of sight seeing, have a few drinks, maybe some food, although my friend is a manager in Wagamama's and said we could go there for food. Is there anything we should see/do while we are wandering around?
On the Wednesday we don't have to be out of the hotel until 12pm then we plan on doing a bit of shopping, get the kids some presents then meeting friends and going on a pub crawl ending up at Kings Cross for our train at 8pm.
Also I can't decide what to wear so I need help with outfits please!!!

What kind of stuff do you want to do? Take in a show, have dinner, afternoon tea, museums, tourist spots?
What outfits you got in mind?

I would love to do a show but H hates anything like that. Dunno really, probably tourist places, stop for a drink here and there, something to eat if we don't go to Wagamamas.
Not sure about outfits, I keep chopping and changing. We'll be doing a fair bit of walking so I'll need comfy shoes/boots. Maybe skinny jeans, pumps and a nice top and blazer for the Tuesday afternoon/night. Maybe a dress, tights and boots for the Wednesday?

Oh and we don't want to be hopping on and off tubes so places within walking distance from our hotel - we don't mind a fair bit of walking.

In that case just walk along the Southbank loads of pubs, loads of places to eat and you'll see a fair bit. What Wagas is your mate manager of?

That sounds like our kind of place.
Not sure, he said its not far from our hotel, just a 10 minute walk.

That's a touch then.

South Bank is great for just wandering along. If you go far enough there is Tate Modern which is free to get into. You can pretty much walk all the way along to Tower Bridge and beyond (going East). Or Tate Britain is on the opposite side of the Thames from Albert Embankment. There is also the London Eye.

is this a competition that you won (sorry if I you mixed up with another mder). defiantly comfy shoes for the day. you always end doing so much walking in London.

Sounds like the South Bank is the place for us then, thanks ladies.
Carole, yeah its from the radio competition I won. We were meant to be going on a Thames dinner cruise but its our kind of thing.

Really SW you've given up the chance to go ona river cruise? London is beautiful at night especially from the Thames - those cruises are a right craic as well!

I agree London is lovely a night but the river cruise wasn't our type of thing. If it was just and hour or so we would of went but it was for a 3.5hr cruise and we weren't bothered about it.
