So I had my hospital appointment this morning, wasn't a good start having to queue for nearly 30 minutes to get in the car park which made me about 10 minutes late for my appointment! I waited probably 1.5 hours before I was seen by the consultant, and she was lovely and helpful with the questions I had My main question with regard to TTCing was answered in that you can stick on the tablets I'm currently on and then change once you're get pg, or just change now - which is what I've one Then if I were to get pg I'd have to go to an antenatal thyroid clinic for extra monitoring. I'm afraid to say I probably won't be posting about TTCing here though as I don't like the idea of the new board.
Anyway, after that I went to see the nurse to have some blood tests, it took her three goes to find a decent vein, then after she'd taken all the blood I came over all funny and nearly passed out - she was lovely and made me lie down and get some water, I was there a little while before I felt well enough to go, they all seemed quite concerned, although not surprisingly since they'd already had a lady pass out earlier in the day which I saw when I was waiting.
So I now have my new tablets, and the next step is to ring the GP and arrange for my coil to be removed!!
All in all, it's been a good few days with getting the part from my audition on Friday night, and now this, plus my boss has posted on FB (I put a comment about nearly passing out) to take the afternoon off and rest

Glad your appointment went well x
Sounds like a positive outcome DeeDee x
(as an aside we are working on some options for the board including the TTC board which you will probably think better - don't rule it out just yet!)

Hi Deedee, I've not long been diagnosed with an under active thyroid. Sorry not seen your previous thread so not sure if this a recent diagnosis for you too? Did you know you can get your prescriptions free on the NHS?

QS - I'll keep OT updated!
loobylou - yes I only found out a few weeks ago, but mine's overactive and unfortunately you don't get free prescriptions for that - my dad's is underactive (although used to be overactive then he had a bit removed, as did my gran, so it seems it runs in our family) so I know a little bit about it.

Ah, I didn't know that-assumed it was for both under and over active. All the best with it x
