It appears that the person who wrote the status on FB is now aware that I am aware it was me she was referring to.
She came storming into my open plan office a short while ago and shouted at me whilst I was seated at my desk. I wish I could say that I tested out the shatterproof-ness of my ruler, alas I just told her very sensibly to go away and calm down. She didn't until someone else chipped in that she was being outrageous. Then I went and cried for an hour. I am still shaking. I need to man up!
Please don't quote - will remove later.

Bloody hell what planet is she on? Does she actually think she's in the right then and that shouting her head off in the office is a good look?? Good on you for staying calm, it might not be as satisfying but at least you look the bigger person.

I would add this to the list of things that you complain about. Completely unacceptable and outrageous. Hope you're okay. I have a big mouth on me but can still be unsettled when I'm not expecting a confrontation. Hugs to you.
And as for your colleague, give her one shot for free. If she tries to confront you again, espcially in a screaming banshee type of way, report her to HR. It's her own stupid fault for bitching on FB in the first place.
Can you head off a little early today so as to put today firmly behind you asap?

I read your thread when I was on holiday, but couldn't reply because the connection was so crap.
What an idiot - how on earth does she think she has the right to have a go at you because you've ended up with a car that her H's work can't out what the fault is?? She's already had enough of a go at you on FB without even knowing it was you!
Well done for being the better person, and for you, confrontations are awful xx

WTAF? Ooooh I bet her H has come down on like a ton of bricks. And rightly so. I'd actually be speaking to your HR about her threatening behavour towards you.
20/05/2013 at 14:50
That's appalling. I hope you're feeling OK now, what a nasty woman xx
20/05/2013 at 14:52
I am so, so annoyed. Astounded in fact. You've got to have a screw loose to think it's ok to behave like that at work, it's so unprofessional. Her defence was that she didn't know it was me she was slagging off - so that makes it OK - and that I was out of order using her personal status to screw free parts out of the main dealer. Ahahaha!
Now it's up to me if I want to take it to HR. She did it in front of 5 other people too.
20/05/2013 at 14:56
That is appalling and as Belle said I would be taking it up with HR. I hope you're ok
20/05/2013 at 15:02
I went to HR and explained what had happened, unfortunately they are as useful as a chocolate teapot. It's up to me what happens. It shouldn't be, if someone is aggressive to you in the workplace it should be dealt with regardless.
20/05/2013 at 15:08
Up to you what happens? well what does that mean?
20/05/2013 at 15:12
Fark knows. I am guessing it's up to me if I want to take it further or just leave it as a personal quarrel in the workplace. Less admin for them I suppose!
20/05/2013 at 15:18
Sounds very much like my old place of work. Want me to come and headbutt her for you?
20/05/2013 at 15:26
LOL! Yes please
My boss has told me to go home early. I think I will need a large V&T when I get in.
20/05/2013 at 15:28
I think you do as well.
When will youhear back from the head office of the garage?
20/05/2013 at 15:32
She's got the ump big time, probably because like belles says her H had given her what for! Good!
Stupid woman for doing that in the workplace thou, sorry you had to go through that, I would've cried too I think! She needs to think about the things she is jeopardising!
20/05/2013 at 15:40
i have no idea what your conundrum was....but she sounds like a tw@
20/05/2013 at 15:53
She is a total d!ck, hope you are ok x
20/05/2013 at 16:33
hope you managed to leave work early and are feeling ok
Ridiculous, like Belle said I hope she responded that way out of panic because her h has put her in her place. I too would have wanted to test your ruler.....or stapler! But you did right not responding, it just reiterates you have been in the right all along. *passes the double over.

Well done for keeping your cool! What a complete knob that woman is! At least you can say you've acted in the right in all of this. Enjoy your drink later, you deserve it.
