Seen as you've all been a great help in finding me clothes for my new job, I thought it only right you help me decide on what to wear for my first day
First decision to be made is: dress? skirt & top combo? trousers & top combo?
Dress options are:
http://www.next.co.uk/x514s1#763266x51 I have both the leopard and the white one
http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/dresses/fabric-panel-block-dress_251337809 and one similar to this http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/dresses/mid-grey-and-black-trim-pencil-dress-_265610107
http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/tops/white-polka-dot-peplum-top_271230719 with black knee legnth pencil skirt
http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/tops/cream-crepe-peplum-sleeveless-top_269809772 worn with gold aztec necklace and skinny black trousers
http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/trousers-and-shorts/monochrome-polka-dot-slim-leg-trousers-_278141509 worn with either a black or white scoop neck vest & blazer
Skirt and top I think :)

Skirt & top I think depending on what it's like!

Black & grey dress from NL

With the white top? Or the all grey dress with piping?
21/03/2013 at 09:18
No not the one with the white top, the all grey one with the black detail.

The most boring of the lot then
21/03/2013 at 09:26
Yes, just because I think it's looks the most professional/business like of them all!

I would go for the most boring/ business like clothes for the first week until you've sussed out the dress code/ what others at your level are wearing. Safest until you know the lay of the land. Won't you be stuck in IT training/ health and safety inductions for your first day anyway!?

I like the dresses best, all three of them look great!

No idea RS, never worked for a professional outfit before. The Chairman here smokes in his office, the partners smoke in the loo whilst reading a paper! The lady who interviewed me and who I'm working with was wearing skirts & vest tops, a long tunic type dress with long boots, another PA was wearing a skater skirt with a leopard print cardigan so they are pretty relaxed dress I'd say. Smart but nor corporate.
