Have you got anything planned for the weekend? It's looking like its going to be a lovely weekend weather wise here.
I'm off work tomorrow as is H. We are taking the kids plus E's friend to the fair for the afternoon. No doubt we will stop at one of the pubs at the sea front for a drink or two. Once we get back I'm planning on sitting in the garden and catching some sun, no doubt with a few beers
Saturday, again its looking like its going to be warm and sunny, I was planning on going to the gym in the morning but I've got a bad back so I'll probably give that a miss. On the afternoon we are going to go for a bike ride, J goes on the back of H's so we can go for a good few miles. There's a lovely pub not too far a ride away where you can sit outside and its got a lovely play area for the kids so we'll stop there for a drink. The night will be Saturday night telly.
Sunday if its a nice day again we are going to have a bbq and invite a couple of E's friends round or maybe BIL and his family.

I think we are choosing new carpet on Saturday. that should be fun (not!) especially as we will have to take Luke with us and he has no paitience for that kind of activity. Sunday I am hoping the weather is dry so I can do a car boot sale.

It's forecast for rain on Saturday here but sunny on Sunday so we might go for a walk down the coast.

I guess at least we know it will be hot, too hot even :(
No plans which is fab, just returned from holibobs so looking at taken it easy. Thinking there will be some food shopping done, as we have no food and some dinner out somewhere.
Love it when there are no plans and you can take it as it comes.

Not really any plans here. A friend might have a BBQ if it's nice and she has kids so that would be good for all of us.

Carole - good luck with the carpet shopping.
Figaro - Hope the weather is nice so you can get out and about on Sunday.
LC - Where have you been on your holidays? Its nice to do nothing after you've been away.
Lb - Enjoy the bbq.

Meant to be raining here (SW, sounds like you have stolen our warmer weather), so won't be doing much.
My parents are back, and are keen to spend time with my boys. So Saturday, both boys will be at my parents house. C will stay overnight. His TV is broken, so I need to get a new one sorted.
Got H's 2 kids Fri and Sat. I'd be lying if I said I was looking forward to that.

AK it makes a change you having rubbish weather. Is the kids' behaviour any better lately? I don't mean this to sound awful but it must be frustrating when your boys are out and you have your H's kids to look after.

My SD is mostly OK, it's just my SS really. Even my H is reaching the end of his tether with him.
It's hard for H, as he sees my 2 boys being golden, and then we have his two for 1 or 2 nights a week, and the entire time they're here, H has to shout at them. He is struggling to enjoy his time with them.
When my 2 boys are out, I go out. Before I got with H, and had J, Saturday would be MY day. I told my H that wouldn't change. I now have every other Saturday (when we have his kids 2 nights), to myself. I know they're my step kids, and we only see them at weekends, but i'll be damned if I am spending my official child free time telling H's son off for pi$$ing in his bedroom, or wrecking stuff...
Sorry, that turned into a bit of a rant, haha

How are things with their mother now AK? Did your H speak to her / the school? She cleaning and feeding them? I actually feel really sad for them as they are clearly in need of some kind of help.

Their Mum is now taking them to the Doctors when she needs to (and makes a big song and dance about it to us, just to make sure we know she has done it), they are coming to our house a bit cleaner, which is an improvement. H spent a couple of hours talking to his ex about everything, and it seems to have given her a kick up the butt.
See how long it lasts.

Well at least he has got through to her a little bit. Its such a shame.

Oh this infuriates me. Basic basic parenting skills - how can it be so bloody hard grrr

You'd think that with having 3 other kids, before H's 2, she'd have some basic understanding of how to be a Mother.
Never known anyone so clueless/lazy when it comes to their children.
She wasn't being helpful with anything we were telling her. When we kept telling her SS was weeing in a box under his bed, as he is so used to using a potty at home, her answer was to send him with pull ups, at 5.5 yrs old. MISSING THE POINT!!!!
