And is the reason for your fear unknown  or do you have a reason for it. I used to be sacred of spiders but now I can just about pick them up in a glass and deposit them. I don't like the dark either. Think the fear of spiders is because of my mum who is petrified of them. No idea about the reason for the dark though.

I am absolutely petrified of bees and wasps. For no reason, I was stung by a bee and it didn't hurt as much as I though. But I still leave my car running in the middle of the road with all the doors open and wait for the buggers to fly out, when one flew in this summer!! I couldn't even retrieve C, isn't that bad!! H had to get him out!!

Dying, I've had the fear since I was about 10 and I was totally irrational about it and still am when I let myself think about it.

Sorry Belle but that made me laugh.

My friend is scared of moths. We went camping once and she went to the toilet for an hour! Turned out there was a moth in the cubicle betweeen her and the door and she couldn't get out! Makes me laugh now thinking about it!

    Clowns.

When I was about 5, a clown poked me in the eye with a feather duster, and from then i've been terrified.

I'm scared of getting old and needing to rely on people to help me do every day things like get dressed and go to the toilet!

I really do pray I'm not one of those old people who never has any company And just sits in all day every day waiting for a carer to pop in for half an hour!  :(

It's stupid but I have this irrational fear of aliens. I think it's linked to my dislike of the dark and the fact I got freaked out when watching something that had aliens in when I was little.

I hate flying but will just about do it to go nice places. Oh and balloons. Someone burst one in my face when i was 3. I am ok if they are tied up but if someone lets one go near me i am a quivering wreck. Rocket balloons are the worst.

Deep water overwhelms me. If I can't touch the bottom with my feet i get a panic on and start flapping. I can happily bob around the pool with H if I'm on his back or whatever, cos I trust he won't let me drowned but one year in Greece the holiday rep saw h pushing me around in a blow up ring and thought it would be funny to tip me over. I could just hear H saying 'honestly mate, don't do that..' And then I was over and in. All very amusing I imagine but I kicked up such a fuss. The shock of it had me in a shaky mess *blush*. The poor rep for a gobful too.

Strangely I don't know why I'm so scared of deep water but my mum said I used to wake up as a very young child, around 2, screaming from nightmares about sinking on a big ship!

For me its birds flying near me, pigeons argh!! And my sis had a budgie when we were younger and I used to freak out when it got let out of its cage for a fly around, makes me shudder just thinking about it. I have q fear of flying too but my love of sunshine and beaches outweighs my fear of flying! I've also got a fear of reaching my deathbed and thinking I've not done much with my life.

Cats, if one of them touched me I honestly think my heart would stop! If one brushed past my legs and touched me I'd collapse! We were in Malaysia and the little f***ers are worshipped there and they were everywhere, I was sat down and one shot out from under the chair, I screamed and then froze, then kept thinking it was crawling over me Weep. I hate them. They must know because they stalk my garden!
