Tell me about it,
Cake? anyone want to show a picture?!
R is turning two in Aug, I'm unsure whether to do a party or a big one when hes 3 (older understand more) but then i think am i mean as he's only 2 once?! Other reason is I am going to do a party for Rayna (same as Russell had for his 1st) so i dont want him thinking its not fair, I know he wouldn't really care and its me over thinking it al!
I think we are going to buy him a balance bike for his birthday. I did think about train/tracks ect as well but not sure how much he will play with them. He loves his little cars and garage and could play with them for hours. Just wanted to get it organised as soon as possible as want to spread cost out as much as I can.
Any help/suggestions or comments appreciated! PJ xx

We had a soft play party. Can't remember presents though, that's awful. Cake was Pat and Bob

For L's 2nd we had a simple tea party at home with a few friends. His cake was an ITNG one as he was obsessed. Can't remember about toys but he got loads as usual!
His 3rd birthday was a disco and THAT was way more fun for him and he totally remembers it as he's asking for the same this year.

For J's 2nd, he is having a circus themed garden party.
I have circus decorations, popcorn boxes instead of loot bags, with a swirly lolly, foam red nose, popping candy, and a balloon on a stick in, along with a little toy/bubbles.
We're having a BBQ, a sweet table, with tubs of candy floss, and bags of popcorn. There's lots of props for people to dress up with, loads of inflateables, and some circus tricks.
Cake wise, he is having a 4 tier cake stand, filled with cupcakes, and a single tier circus themed cake.
Presents - he has already had his Mickey mouse scooter, he has puzzles, garden toys, books, and i'm forgetting what else.
On his actual Birthday, we are going to the Sea Life centre, then we are taking him to the Disney Store (he LOVES Mickey), where he can get what he wants (well, up to £100)

Wow AK that sounds like a fab party you've organised.
We had family for a tea party. I think she may have gone to nursery on her birthday and would have had a cake there as well. (It was 4 years ago now which is why I can't remember).
One present that she has enjoyed loads over the years that she got when she was 2 was an aqua draw mat - she had that out only the other day although it is a bit knackered now.
A balance bike sounds like a good idea.

For my 1st she got loads, keyboard, easel, happyland stuff, aquadraw, dolls, pram, books etc. No party we took her out for the day to a fab farm park place which had soft play etc.
For my 2nd we struggled to think of presents as she had everything obviously from her sister, we got her some garden toys inc. seesaw type thing and then put money into her savings account. She had a party at home, invited about 15 kids plus parents so was chaos but she loved it.
It'll be my little one's 2nd birthday in September. Have no idea what to buy as she's the 3rd girl so really do have everything toy wise! There is only 3 weeks between her birthday and her sisters so may do a joint party at home and take her out for the day somewhere, not 100% decided yet.

AK that sounds amazing!!! Ok so i'm not that horrible if i don't do a party. But we still have the whole family round and have cake ect. I'm really unsure if i should just do a part though or wait till his 3rd when he can really appreciate it. cake = I'm thinking perhaps a car of some sort he loves them. Or perhaps mr.tumble but think that could e difficult!

We were going to go to soft play but O was ill. We had a tea party at our house with family. O got toys for his kitchen that was fitted into an old fireplace. He also got clothes, books and DVDs.
