We are going to a party in Glasgow in 2 weeks its an all day thing, I'm wearing a flowery dress from h&m, boys just going in chinos and shirts. Well my h is 34 and has just picked his outfit! He's going for the 'preppy' look and whilst its all very nice....he ain't 19 anymore
hes got a blazer, a pair of navy chinos and a pair of white soft canvas shoes! He's not decided if its white shirt or polo shirt/Tshirt yet!
Are your hs wearing similar or is my h mutton dressed as lamb

I'd love my H to dress fashionably but sadly not. He lives in joggers and t- shirts. It actually winds me up. It's a struggle to get him to put a pair of poxy jeans on!

My h has no Shame and says he can pull it off , I said everyone would be asking who the old man trying to be preppy is although in his defence he could pass for 29/30 (he thinks he can pass for 24/25

How old is he then? Where I work everyone is in that look anyways, rolled up chino and moccasins!

My H wears casual jeans and a t shirt normally and dressy jeans and a shirt if going out.
So is that the fashion for men, must have a wee look online to get a mental picture, all I can think off (not too sure why) is Hugh Hefner...

He's just short of 35. See the men here are just in jeans/joggies, my h gets the p ripped out him by his mates! Day to day he wears jeans and what he calls 'terrace' look which means he looks like a football hooligan .
My H is casual, wear jeans and a tshirt most of the time

Alsi the look for men ATM is like how the geeks looked in grease (well that's how I imagine it anyway)
My H wears cargo trousers with a t-shirt. He's got cargo trousers in various colours and teams them up with different t-shirts. If we're going somewhere smarter then he'll wear jeans and he's got a collection of smarter t-shirts. Anything more formal then he wears his suit trousers and a shirt.
Feet wise, he wears trainers or sketchers. He own one pair of proper shoes, which he wears with his suit trousers.
On holiday he swaps his cargo trousers for cargo shorts!!

My H dressed pretty much that sort of thing - Neutral coloured chinos, normally a polo in the day/shirt at night and his little espadrilles - however he is only 22 so guess he can pull it off... The mustard chinos he recently tried, and the royal blue however, not so much so!! He's recently got some Linen cargo pants which look fab. And I've got him some nice shorts for lazy walks around the village - but they still look smart with a polo (they look short in the pic but are just knee length on my H):
Otherwise he's in walking trousers and top if he's shooting or joggers/tshirt/hoody combo round the house or travelling.
While we were away, he purchased a "lovely" lacoste baseball cap... Kill.me.now!

Ah I see, have had a look on a couple of websites. I quite like the look, no way my H would go for it though unfortunately.
Make sure and get a wee photie up of you all from the day once you are dolled up!

My H is 29 and would dress how you describe. As you might have seen on my FB, we visited the seaside and he wore jeans, a white shirt, a black waistcoat and tie (loose). He'd often wear chinos and a smart polo shirt and canvas type shoes.

My H would wear jeans and a t-shirt to something like that.

My H wears skinny jeans, Iron Fist T-shirts, and converse. He is 39 this year.
He would scream in horror, at the idea of wearing chinos.

My H is 40 this year and still wears that sort of thing. He isnt mutton. Its smart and fashionable, but not too preppy fashionable that makes it look silly.

Tbf I think my dad still wears that sort of outfit!! He's 48! He looks quite cool thou. My H is mainly jeans and ts but at a party would wear jeans blazer shirt and shoes or something similar.
