And actually works?

Napisan. Buy it in Wilkos. It's keeps my whites bright which is a challenge considering how much tanning I do. (Ignore my bra post yesterday they were old)

I second Belle....Napisan for sure! I have managed to revive a few of O's bits and bobs that were looking a bit tired and washed out. Wilkos or Sainsburys (when they have a baby event on it has a fair bit of money off!)

Thanks for this tips, i've tried everything and can't get my whites white. Do you just put it in the wash with your whites along with your normal washing liquid/powder?
22/01/2013 at 12:21
Ooo I like this idea - thank you!

I struggle with getting stains out of my whites! F's white school polo shirts have got gravy stains etc on and they won't come out even with Vanish in the wash!
22/01/2013 at 12:26
Chids, yes I just add to machine with my normal powder. If stains are really bad you can soak them in it first as well

so do you just use it for plain white stuff or can you just chuck it in with a whites/lights wash. Will it bleach everything?
22/01/2013 at 12:35
I have a napisan bucket for pre soaking whites in before adding some more to the load. Magic stuff!
22/01/2013 at 13:24
Morph I chuck a tablespoon in my whites with coloured wash (you know collar a different colour, or stripes or soemthing), i've not noticed any bleaching.
Mossy have you tried rubbing the gravy stain with fairy liquid before bunging in the machine? Works a treat on 90% of stains.

Then only thing that consistently works on J's school shirts is the Ariel Blue Spray, so I always use that. I've not tried Napisan though!
22/01/2013 at 13:41
Thanks Belle I'll give that a go.
Catarina, not heard of that spray, do you just apply it before it goes in the machine?
22/01/2013 at 15:14
Yes, it's easy. I don't know why it works for us but the other sprays and powders and whatever don't. It is a stain remover, but I spray that and do a 90 degree white wash and it seems to work!
22/01/2013 at 15:36
90 degrees??? Doesn't it shrink? I wash at 40 for whites, is that where I'm going wrong?
22/01/2013 at 18:24
I've never shrunk anything! My washer has a 90 degree whites cycle, takes about 2 and a half hours but does the job! Everything else gets washed on the 43 minute 30 degree economy cycle.

Right I'm going to try it on the stained stuff, got nothing to lose! Thanks.
