I'd like to know what burning questions you'd like advice on from a health visitor as I want to get some new inspiration for the pages of Practical Parenting. Can you send me any suggestions of things you really want the answers to.

I have a big baby - will it really do any harm to wean earlier than six months. Erin is 12 weeks and weighs just over 14 pounds. She was sleeping through from 10 till 6.30 she has now started waking at 5.ish

Why doesnt my son talk? Since my own hv just pushed us at a speech therapist who blamed a dummy (which he never ever has when hes awake unless ill) and his dads dylexia and cancelled his appointments!!!
And why does my 15mnth old cry constantly and loose her temper sooo quickly? Oh and she still wont sleep in a cot or crib?

HV always said my kids are small/underweight. But the growth chart is for european people and not for asian people. Will they going to have a different growth chart for asian people in the future? I'm sure my kids are not small in asian size but they are definitely small compare to european kids.
My second question is how to encourage my son (27 months) to eat meat? He only eat meat if it is puree.

I would like to know who you can breastfeed succesfully and still get your baby better and night, I found that Harry relied on me too much as a sleep aid. He is my first, you get taught to feed on demand, so every time he woke and cried I fed him - and this got him in to a bad habit, I finally quite BF at 7months and followed a sleep programme, he then slept through the night - if he didnt have these sleep problems I may have continued for longer.
Bottle fed babies always seem to sleep better and use a dummy.
Maybe it was just me that had this experience but I do feel BF affects their sleep behaviour & my sister keeps telling me I should Bottle feed if I have any more to avoid being woken every other hour as I was with Harry, I probably would try and BF again but it does deter me slightly

my question would be is it ok to give my son (whos 2 years old) some form of vitamin supplement? he always looks quite pale and sickly so wondered if a vitamin supplement would give him a boost etc?? he eats a varied diet its a struggle to get him to eat any other meat apart from mince and he's not keen on veg although he used to eat everything when he was a baby and he eats lots of fruit, but he always looks poorly even when hes not. anything you can suggest??

Hi second question from me!
My five yr old son has twice required iron for being aneamic - yet he eats the same as rest of family. Should more investigations be carried out? I feel that the symptoms are being treated but the cause not found.

I would like to ask at what age is it best to wean a child of a dummy - especially when it helps them with their teething.
Also when should I worry that I am feeding my child too much - how would it show on their weight chart in their medical book?
