My house is a bit of a tip, so I had planned on spending the morning cleaning and tidying up. I've been home an hour and consider myself finished with the housework.
Bathrooms have been wiped round, dusting done and everything is tidy, but I am aware I am a bit of a slob and am not a proper cleaner!

Same as you 1stbaby, I'm not exactly thorough which is why I now pay someone to do it properly.

One which outsources it! If i did it myself it would take forever as I am a fastidious about it.

I hate cleaning, love it when its done but lack motivation in doing it! I've just put O down for his nap so should be tidying the breakfast things, sorting the lounge etc, but obviously I'm not..

When I'm in the mood, I'm a deep cleaner, cupboards cleaned and sorted but my house right now is a mess. I am being lazy today! Just trying to get J to go for a nap and il get me behind up and into gear!

I'm OCD with my cleaning. I hoover at least 3 times a day. Deep clean once a week (pull everything out to hoover, polish etc).
Bathroom gets wiped over every day, as I clean around the sink when I am brushing my teeth, clean the mirrors when I am running a bath etc.
I do little jobs in whatever room I am in. I have a box of cleaning stuff upstairs, along with a hoover, so I don't have to keep taking stuff up/down stairs.

rubbish. I only really clean properly if we are due visitors. I get distracted and start sorting out drawers when I should be doing the basics.

I hate cleaning. We are in the process of outsourcing it as husband has finally realised that I'm just not interested and as he isn't either then there's no other option than either live in a great dirty tip or employ someone to keep us clean and tidy.

I'm OCD and have just sacked our maid as she wasn't doing it well enough. I find it easier to do it myself now too and keep on top of it daily.

I'm the same as Carole. I only have a really good tidy if I'm expecting visitors. In fact I think my cousin and her family are coming to stay this weekend, I had to start cleaning yesterday to try and make sure we are ready for Friday. I know it will need going back over before then but the bulk of upstairs is sorted. I don't actually mind when I'm doing it but I have no motivation to get it done.

I am rubbish. I really don't like doing household chores and get very little (if any) satisfaction out of it. Things get done when they really have to. I should get a cleaner in once a week to do a few things but I have no idea how to find someone you could trust to have a key to your house and go in when you're not there.

A crap one! That's why I got myself a cleaner!

Babe, your house is always spotless! Always. End of!

I hate cleaning! I do keep the bathrooms clean and hoover every other day downstairs but admit to not cleaning skirting boards/behind sofas/dusting stairs/cleaning kitchen cupboards etc very often - part laziness and part having 3 kids aged 5 and under! It gets me down how quickly the kids make the whole house look a mess, I feel like the whole house is never clean and tidy all at the same time. Hoping this changes as the girls get older. We'll see!

I like cleaning, or maybe more I hate an untidy/dirty house so don't see any alternative as I need to clean to not crack up. Every day I Hoover and disinfect the kitchen and do a tidy up. With a baby on the way I suspect the house will become a bit more untidy but despite what anyone says I will still Hoover and do the kitchen. We have cats so need to Hoover to get rid of the cat litter they flick around and their hair. I do think I have slight OCD as I feel stressed if the house isn't right.

I do enough that it looks ok at first glance. Vacuum, dust (the bits you can see) wipe down surfaces, fill dishwasher, washing machine, put stuff away. Bathroom and bins are H's jobs and I don't touch them ever.

I do it as I go along, for example, if I think the bathroom needs to be cleaned or the floor needs hoovering, it gets done. I don't have any set days for cleaning a particular room. My H is quite good in that he'll do a load of housework on a Saturday morning so I can get a bit of me time.

I'm like Carole, if people are coming or staying over the house will be spotless, otherwise it's just done here and there. I do some cleaning every day but it's rarely all completely clean. I feel like it's a losing battle, the girls make so much mess it's a full time job just keep the house tidy let alone clean!!

Noggin I feel exactly the same as you with the fighting a losing battle and never having a completley clean house! Nightmare!

a lazy one!
