I need some fashion help.
I am going out with some of the mums from A's class weekend after next. We are having 'afternoon tea' and then some cocktails at another local bar. Afternoon tea is at a local small hotel (owned by one of the other mums) so is not like a posh hotel in London. Mixed into this I don't think I am going to get a chance to get home and change before I head out that night. I am going to an old colleague's 50th birthday party.
So what to wear? I don't want to feel over dressed for the day and under dressed for the evening!

Ooh,where you going? I would say jeans and nice top or dress/tunic with flats or boots for day change to heels maybe for evening?

Shoe change. Good idea, I didn't think of that. A pair of flat shoes wouldn't take up too much room for the evening in my bag.
Actually going to a' hotel' near HX station. I use hotel in inverted commas as it is fairly small. It begins with D but apparently does a lovely afternoon tea. Cocktails will just be in HX and then heading into East London for the 50th

I would probably wear a pair of black skinny jeans and a dressy blouse or a casual ish dress and change the footwear. Let us know how the afternoon tea goes. I often do afternoon tea with my friends, one lives in Romford and hx is where my ils live so not too far. Have fun

Haha.... I actually read it and thought I don't know where you are talking about........I took it as ellooks as you left no space. Don't worry once you have your other child you'll have very few brain cells left like me!

I would go with black skinny jeans, a dressy top, blazer and flats, then change into heels for the night and take the blazer off.

I agree with SW

Agree with SW but I don't own black skinny jeans so would wear my silky trousers instead. Oh and I'd wear shoe botts for day and killer heels in the evening.
