As above really?!
Since having moved to Kent, I find that houses are 'different' round here, I suppose more like London houses if that makes sense. I feel I need to be more open minded about the house 'type' I go for.

My MIL's house

3 bed semi on a cul-de-sac.
It's a weird road as the start is mainly bungalows, then there is our house & our neighbours as the semis, then more bungalows, then terraced right round to bungalows (yes terraced bungalows) then a small group of terraced, then more bungalows.

Same as Belle. 3 bed semi in a cul-de-sac.
All the houses are the same, apart from their different extensions and garages.

3 bed semi. Our estate is very weirdly set out, its set out with a golf club just before the turning into our estate, then a primary school, then its one huge circle. A bus comes once every 2 hours till 7pm. Its also quite 'in bred' as h and I are the outsiders as we have only been here 6 years everyone else has been here since it was built and their kids have bought houses too so we are one of the few who have no relations on the estate. We live at the top of a huge hill and its surrounded by fields, its one of the nicer areas in our town but we are really cut off in bad snow and ice and we can have really bad snow here but at the bottom of the hill they can just have a bit!

3 bed semi, in a cul-de-sac 12 houses in total, some are council owned, most with young family's, 3 of us had our baby boys within a month so be nice when they are walking to school together.

We live in a 3-bed flat. Victorian conversion with a shop underneath.

Munchkin - That house is lovely and worth living with your MIL for the time being!
We live in a 2 bed semi, Nice quiet street, mixture of terraced and semis.
Our driveway is a slope though which proves difficult with the snow we had recently!

We have a 3 bedroom semi on an estate which used to be mostly local authority houses. The majority of them now are privately owned.

We live in a four bed victorian semi on a road full of other victorian semis. It used to be a three bed but we did a loft conversion. It is my dream house and now we have done the loft I think it is our forever home. Bl**dy money pit though.
Gorgeous house Munchkin!
We have a 4 bed detached in a nice and quiet sort of cul-de-sac - they're all pretty similar houses near us.

3 bed townhouse in a new development. Its a great area for schools etc. We face onto the communal green which is really well kept & there is a field behind us. Its nice & quiet. We took the middle townhouse as we 'own' the entry meaning our upstairs is 4 feet wider than the other houses. Our bedrooms are massive with walk in wardrobes.
It'll be fine for one child but if we were to have 2 I'd def want to move to bigger detached or semi detached house. I dream of a kitchen island, utility room & garage.
I'd say that house is definitely worth a stay at the mils munchkin!
We don't have much money to play with tbh as I don't work and H won't do overtime because of studying the knowledge, our next house won't be our forever house but need something just a bit bigger than ours now, without paying a huge amount more per month because we are comfortable our outgoings atm
I never find anything within budget! Struggling!

what do you need room and money wise? We can help you look.

We live in a 2 bed flat, it's a small building of 4 flats on a road of lovely houses. I'd love a house rather than a flat but location and size of the rooms was much better than any house we could afford round here and those were our priorities at the time. When we move next I'd take a smaller house over a bigger flat though, I can't wait for the day I don't have my neighbours snoring upstairs keeping me awake!!

I'm in Essex (which I am sure you said before is where you are heading). We live in what was originally a 3 bed end of terrace (built around 1930s) when I say terrace they are blocks of 4 houses together along the street. We converted the house and extended so it now has good sized bedrooms (including loft conversion).

we live in a two bed semi detatched corner plot, hoping to extend one day so it will be a four bedroomed house.

Kent, we're in a 3 bed terraced cottage on the main road through the village, our end is mostly houses, although we've a small shabby chic sort of shop, the scout hut and a hair dressers, the other end of the road has the butchers and co op, and the infants and junior schools etc. Apparently 150 years ago the house next door to ours was the post office.

A 3 bed end terrace. Looks small from the outside, but we actually have more room than my Mum and Dad have in there detatched house (apart from the kitchen).
Just on the end of a culdesac, really close to everything we need
