I mainly use Surf, Persil or Daz for the detergent.
Lenor or Comfort for the softner.
I was tempted to try the Asda own brand when I was shopping yesterday but saw Daz for the same price. I've tried Aldi softner and wasn't impressed with it.
If you use own brand stuff, what do you think of it?

I use whatever is on offer and like I said on the other thread currently Surf (Pink) was on offer 35 tabs for £2.50 so I stocked up.
I've used Aldi wn brand powder (green & blue box) was really good - couldn't fault it but my mum used to buy for me and I'm not speaking to her atm.
Fabric softner I prefer Lenor as it lasts longer - the blue or purple ones, but sometimes it irritates Ls skin so I switch to Comfort - blue or orange one.

Whatever is on offer. Currently finishing off a bottle of Tescos own brand stuff which has been good, next bottle is from Aldi. I use the washing gel rather than powder/tablets
Fabric softner, again, whatever is on offer. I've got a bottle i got from the 99p shop on the go at the moment at it does the trick.

I use Aldi washing powder. Wasn't impressed when my H bought some, as I was a label snob with powder, but it was actually really good, so only use that now. I don't like their softener though. I use comfort, as it always seems to be on offer.

I use whatever is on offer.
I use nappisan for whites
I don't use softener (should I???) I just thought it was a con And was just to make the clothes smell nice, which the washing powder does. But now I'm wondering if I should use it as you all use it???

Aren't your clothes crunchy if you don't use softner? I never use it with towels and they end up crunchy but that's good i like a crunchy towel that dries not a soft one that tickles.

No, clothes not crunchy but if I don't fold the towels when getting them out the machine then hanging them up about 10 mins later they go crunchy.
I might buy some just to see if its better

Keep us posted if you do. I bet you don't see any difference and we're all wasting £3 a week on our shopping !

Whatever brand name is on offer for washing powder, fabric conditioner any.

Whatever's on offer detergent wise, usually fairy liquid one.
I also don't use softener but funnily enough had a conversation with mum about it this week and she reckons I won't need to iron as much if I use it so might try it! ( coming from the woman who irons tea towels and boxers!)
