    when the Queen dies?

Was just pondering this the other day?

Will money with the Queen on it become obslete or will it gradually change over?

We didn't go to Beamish as the children didn't do as they were told this morning. Was gutted.

I'm glad Alsi knew what I meant! Would they be worth more than their face value though? Because if they aren't, not sure whether to keep them!

That is interesting ! I guess it will be like when a new design of note comes out, they run the new and old notes for a while, then the old ones cease being legal tender after a certain date. As the old ones get banked the banks hold onto them and only issue new ones.

I suspect it would take a long time for the Liz money to become valuable, but it would certainly be interesting to have. I might put together a set of each coin for the kids......

Jack said this last night! He called my upstairs when he was in bed to tell me he needed to spend his money box money quickly because if the queen died he wouldn't be able to use it. He wondered if build a bear was open at night time!

Yes because thinking is one of those tasks that just can't quite be done along side other tasks can it?

It was last night that I thought of it - wonder what happened during the day that triggered us both to think of it?

Weird! I dont know. He was worried because she was old and might die soon. He has got quite into Thatcher dying and lots of questions about who she was so might come from that

Interesting question. Something I have never thought about TBH.

I asked my "brain box" H, and he looked puzzled, and asked what the hell goes on in my head! I know he is thinking about it now.

I guess it will just be phased out, like the old £20 notes????  Stamps? Will they not be valid if they have the Queen on them?

I've already put aside 2008 and 2011 coins for my boys, I think I have one of each coin, something for them to have when they are older, might try and put them in some sort of presentation form at some point.

I think my MIL bought the coin set for when the kids were born but not sure if Ex took that with him when he left because it ahd a monetary value...
