Following on from yesterday's post I found it interesting to get ideas for dinners as I don't know about you but we tebdto stick to the same sort of foods...
Tonight we are having : Sausage, Mash, Peas and Broccoli with Gravy!

We had lambed mince with peppers, onions and mushrooms in it and lamb gravy, with mash, carrots and cabbage. I turned half into a shepherds pie without the cabbage but added some peas to it. I will freeze it for some time later. So not particularly thrilling but real comfort food.

In Manchester dinner is lunch (confused me for years ), Iv had a pitta with ham and salad
Isaac had the same but he's not into sandwiches so will eat the bread then eat the filling/salad lol.
For tea tonight we are having sea food risotto (yum yum yum yum!!!)

Seafood risotto sounds yum TRF. I'm also craving sausage + mash too now PC. We've got veggie chill made with sweet potato and courgette - S's faves because he's under the weather :)

I love sweet potatoes, first had them around 1998 when I was in China, could get them cooked in silver foil. They are great if you put them in the bottom of a barbeque.

Tonight I was lazy had chicken in a cheese sauce with ham and leek care of asda, I did boiled new potatoes in their skins with carrots and broccali

Tonight my H cooked as he was home all day, we had a chicken korma that he did in the slow cooker, followed by a kind of eton mess but done with fat free yogurt instead of cream. It was all lovely!!

During the year we tried some new recipes and we were quite adventurous, butternut-squash-and-spinach-quesadillas, broccoli and cheese crepes, Brazilian chicken salad, stampot and fried plantain and hot chilli sauce, the last three were in honour of the world cup. I have also made from Jamie Olivers Save, squash and spinach pasta rotolo, and sweet potato and spinach fittata. We love jalapenoes, on holiday we made a salsa with jalapenoes, tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, red onions and sweetcorn, we served in wraps with a beef filling.
