i completely agree with the cooking rona, that was a life saver having nice decent meals in minutes and minimum mess and effort!
I packed a whole extra hospital bag when pregnant with lola having stayed in for over a week once jack was born and the 3 days being induced, luckily i didnt need i, but wish id done it first time round explaining to andrew all the bits i needed was almost impossible!
TWO cameras spare batterys and memory card, change and you can use mobiles in delivery suite at my hospital!

I bought loads of frozen ready meals, they come with instructions, anyone can cook them.Had to try a few out beforehand to make sure the kids would eat them.
I made lists-Telephone numbers-Mum,school,doctor,etc.Kids routines.Who eats what, which cup belongs to who, things like that.Special dates-parties,school trips, etc, cos all that would be forgotten.I taped all the lists to the fridge.
I had a December baby,so I had Christmas done and wrapped before she arrived, cos I'd be busy after.I had two October babies so I made sure I had the older children's coats and warm stuff bought and ready for the weather to get cold.
Just planning ahead thinking of what you don't want to be doing when you've a newborn to care for.
With Merlin I was so expecting to just breastfeed him like the others that I had no bottles or formula. The steriliser needed cleaning.I had to go to Boots on the way home from the hospital,2 days after a section. Not good.
