    PM

After 2.5 years, I have finally bought a proper box with acid free paper to store my dress, and clear out wardrobe space for LO's arrival. I was planning on putting it in the loft, but the instructions say they don't recommend this - they suggest under the bed (doesn't fit) or in the wardrobe - which we don't have room for Bang head

Does anyone store theirs in the loft? Is it a bad idea? I don't want to ruin it. Or is there anywhere else my pregnant brain hasn't thought of? Thanks

Mine is under our bed at the moment but I'm thinking about moving it to the loft. I was going to buy one of those water proof bags that you can vacuum - figure it'll stay safe and compact that way.

    Laugh Belle!

The vaccuum bags are amazing things, I filled two with my pre pregnancy stuff and it's amazing how small they scrunch up. Not sure what they would do to your wedding dress though as it would become really, really crumpled.

I think surely it will be ok in the loft, but then don't want to be silly either and I guess they advise for a reason. Should have just left it in the damn wardrobe and saved the £18 the box cost!

Mine was dry cleaned and boxed straight after our wedding and has always been stored in the loft. It gets looked at every now and again and so far is seemingly fine. I've not removed it from the box in all that time though. Would love to show the girls, might be an excuse to get it out of the box :)

Mine is in a suitcase in the loft. I did have it dry cleaned after the wedding and then put it up in the loft, where it has been since 2003, ten years yikes!

Thanks everyone, seems like the loft will be fine then.

Noggin - The reason I wanted to keep mine was to show it to our child / children - bet your girls will love it!
