Anyone or no one?
What have you been up to in the sunshine today?
We haven't done much today. This morning when H got in from work I went to the gym, since then I've done washing, ironed, tidied and sat in the sun for a bit. The kids have been playing out in the street since 11am and are still out now. It's so easy to keep them entertained when the sun is shining.
H is nightshift tonight so its just me and the kids again. I'm going to bring them in at 7pm, get them in the bath and we'll watch BGT while they have their tea.
I've also sorted the kids' drawers and wardrobes out this afternoon so I'm busy ebaying their clothes that don't fit.

H is away this weekend so me the kids and my neighbour and her boy went for a drive to and found a pub with a garden and play area for the kids so we were able to enjoy some beers and food in the sun whilst they played. Came home and the kids carried on playing in the garden whilst we drunk wine and watched the snooker. Munched crap food and they went home, kids now in bed and I am on my own chillaxing! x
Not done much either. Taken E to gymnastics then stood and done all the ironing, plus washing.
H at work too and about to sort the kids out to got to bed.

1stbaby that sounds like my kind of day. You'll be shocked that I haven't had any booze all weekend.
pebbles glad I'm not the only one being rock and roll and ironing.

I'm here, was meant to be going out but I'm feeling under the weather.
Had a nice day today. Went shopping with my mum and my boys and the boys were really good so my mum and I got lots of bits for my cousins wedding that we are going to next weekend (hair bits, makeup shoes etc!)
O slept for a good 90min in the pushchair and we had lunch which was nice. Then took the boys to the big playground by the shopping centre and they had a good run round in the sun. (O actually fell off the top of the toddler climbing frame which scared the crap out of me but he was fine luckily, bounced)
Then took them in to Mr Simms sweetshop to choose sweeties, yay!
Then back to my mums for wine in the garden whilst the boys played.
Sorry to bore you with all that!

I am here too. We were swimming this morning, in the garden this afternoon and picked up a bike from gumtree for my daughters first bike this afternoon. I am hoping I might get a bit of extra sleep in the morning given how active the kids have been today!

My H has gone out for the evening to a friend's party. i was invited but the person goes to the same boring pub every year for her birthday and I couldn't be bothered to go and organise a babysitter etc. This way, he goes, has a good laugh with his mates and the money we saved on a babysitter I can spend on a new summer dress!!!!

Sounds like a win win hn.
Just being nosey but who do you get to babysit for you and how much do you pay them?

We used to get the girls from nursery and pay between £8-£9 an hour (Central London). They know the kids well, are used to putting them down for naps at nursery etc. Now we use our nanny who we pay about the same

God, its no wonder you've stayed in. I'd only be going out if it were for a special occasion £30 odd quid before you've even had a drink
I'm glad I have the free use of grandparents

Same here SW. Can't imagine having to pay for childcare, especially at that price. Tight, me??? Absolutely. I'd rather shove J up my top than pay £9 an hour.
My parents are going on honeymoon for a week, no childcare, ARGH!!!! So selfish of them... *wonders if they'll take my boys on HM with them*
