Beth and bump here and I'm a first time poster on BabyExpert so go gentle with me! I'm 22 (young but it was planned) and DP (soon to be DH!!) is 24 and my EDD is 26-Sept (same as my nana!)
We've got everything ready (i think) but am starting to worry about what everyday things I'll need and if its ok to buy own brand stuff or should i stick to pampers etc. I'm scared people will look at me, young with by baby and buying Asda own and assume my baby girl was an accident. (DP says i'm way overthinking!)
But do you guys buy own brand stuff or do you think it's better to buy branded things because it's better for the LOs? Or do you think I should go for organic/natural products? What kind of things do you buy when getting everyday stuff: nappies, baby shampoo, baby food (when there older obviously!)?
What brands of stuff do you reccommend?
Lots of love to everyone!

Asda little angels range is fantastic, I don't have an asda near me so drive 20 minutes to the nearest one just to get nappies and wipes from there. Pampers just leaked on my lb and are very expensive. Babies cost a bomb and while some things are obviously worth spending a bit extra on if you can save money in other areas then go for it and anyone who judges you is just an idiot in lmao . Also i think there is a lot less of a stigma these days when buying own branded stuff Because it is now such good quality. X

I actually found tesco 5 stripe nappies which used to be only about £1.20 for a pack when my lo was in nappies to be the best I've ever used. Sorry but I'm not paying 6 quid for a pack of nappies that are gonna get weed and pooed in and thrown away. The price of baby stuff compared to 2009 is ridiculous now, I've got 21 packs of nappies stocked up ready for my baby and most are own brands from all sorts of places. I only get branded if the deals are on. x

I'll just be buying what i can afford at the time, You might find that you prefer own brand stuff to the branded stuff. I buy asda branded stuff (not the smart price but the next one up) for myself so would have no issues with trying some of their baby range things, if me or baby don't like it then i just wont buy it again and will try other products x
