Not sure if it sounds like a good or bad sign.

Did you spellout exactly what you wanted or was it a bit vague? Maybe they just want to clarify exactly what you want. I once got a request from a member of staff who'd asked to drop to 4 days from 5. I asked to meet just to discuss if there was a particular day he wanted or whether he was willing to be flexible. He attended certain meetings on certain days, so if for example he'd wanted every Friday off it would have meant having to cover those meetings, if he was happy to flex the days depending on his workload it was easy to cover. I wasn't going to say no, but clarity helped sort out the workload iyswim.

Was your meeting today? Or is it booked? Try not to worry, hopefully it's a constructive discussion

There is a procedure they need to follow that is set out by government. They should request a meeting with you within 28 days of the application, so it's good that they seem to be on the ball with that already.
You've probably read up on it but what should happen is here www.gov.uk/.../making-a-statutory-application

Maybe try and have a guess of what obstacles/queries they may have, work-related things (sorry I don't know what you do or where, but for me it would be things like who does x, y, z, in my absence, what happens if there's an urgent deadline, is there access to do things at home if it was crucial, can you be flexible if other team members are unwell or take extended leave) and make some notes of the things you could offer back, if they asked you.
And if you have a preference as to days I would definitely say so, but then make it sound like it's because it suits them so much better that way, lol!
