ok ladies i have 3 events coming up over xmas and i have no nice maternity wear, and im struggling to find any maternity tops/dresses in my size becasue im a porker.
I do however have a nice pair of black skinny jeans and my lovely shoe boots, so i found a top but not sure how it will look, im thinking of making the most of my maternity mammaries in this top, and maybe the belt will enhance my bump to look like a bump and not podge !
what do you think ?

It's a no from me. It looks like it took the dresser a good 30 mins to get the pleats in the right place before that shot was taken. Something that will never happen to a layperson.

A no from me too. It looks like a bin bag, tied in the middle.
This is much nicer www.newlook.com/.../heavenly-bump-navy-embellished-shoulder-tunic_299560440

What size are you? Only because I have a bag full of mat stuff which I wore last year and I'm on the porker scale too. ;-)

does anyone know how generous new look maternity wear is? at a push i could get away with a 20, so if they come up large i could probably wear an 18 in there?

OB said they aren't generous.

:-( im really struggling with plus size maternity
its really getting me down, and as some of you know at my scan on tuesday i was told i was too fat to be scanned :-(
i knew it would be an obstacle but i didnt think it would make me this upset

No generous at all i'm afraid. What about simply be? Do they still do plus size maternity? Or maybe Yours clothing.

Ah, mon, I think once you find something well fitting in maternity you will feel a lot better. How about next? X

Does it HAVE to be maternity???
I was a size 22 when pg with J, and had a MASSIVE bump to boot, I never had 1 item of maternity clothing, it was all stuff bought in a bigger size, or stuff that just had stretch. Is that an option?

Do George @ Asda still do maternity? Matalan? Peacocks?
28/11/2013 at 12:27
i think maternity clothing is cut better so gives you a better silhouette, i cant wear anything waisted and ideally it needs to be empire line, which all tends to be maternity
simply be have a range of maybe 12 items but nothing is actually that attractive,
have all stopped their maternity lines
my jeans and trousers are from next and they have somoe lovely casual bits but nothing dressy for the party season !
it appears if you are a larger lady and pregnant you are destined to wear casual clothes and not go out :-(
to add to my little vent they also think pregnant people are all 6ft and over , iv had to have every pair of trousers taken up :-(

Sorry you're finding it so hard, finding something suitable. I have to admit, I never had trouble finding stuff to give me a nice silhouette. I used belts/sashes, to gather in things under my bust, to fit better and show off bump

i might have to start trying that AK
Matalan , peacocks and asda all do but up to a 20 and again arnt very generous! :-(
theres a niche market out there for someone if they wanted to start a business

Have a look at Debenhams, they have a maternity section that does a size 20. And LaRedoute also seem to do maternity in larger sizes.
