I really have had enough, and I mean in a major way!!!

We have tried everything, from shampoos, 3 different special combs to nitty gritty lotion which daughter had a severe reaction to

If everybody did their children in the holidays surely they wouldnt keep spreading at such a rate!

I rang the docs today to get the nasty stuff on prescription - to be told they dont do it - so now I have to go to chemist and buy the stuff - Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (old surgery let u have it on prescription!!)

I really cant take much more of them - I am thinking of shaving her hair off!!!

Please someone tell me of a lotion that actually works and kind to sensitive skin!

Aw no, sounds awful! Have you tried tea-tree oil? You can mix it into shampoo and they really don't like it.... might be good for sensitive skin?

Hi there. I am a hairdresser and thought I'd let you know what I tell my customers.
The best way to really get rid of the little critters is to smoother your daughters hair in conditioner and just keep combing the hair with a nit comb and checking the comb each time.
You need to do this a couple times a week for a week or so to eradicate any living lice and there eggs.
Once you have removed all the lice and eggs you should use a cocconut shampoo and conditioner as this seems to keep them away and make sure she wears it up in a tight and secure way when at home or with her friends.
Lice can not jump or fly and are only spread from actual head to head contact so making sure her hair is up is important.
I like your idea of having a national nit day but unfortunatley there are some families out there that dont even check there kids hair, or dont even realise they have them. I say bring back the nit nurse !!

Grrrrrrrrr too,

I don't know who it is in my sons class but there is somebody with out a care.  It drives me insane, I hate the little critters, but we seem to get a letter home from school just about every week.  The parents in the playground are just about up in arms about it, but somebody is not getting the message.

Grrrrrrrrr

I only ever use conditioner.. I buy a big bottle of supermarkets own and apply loads! Keep combing through checking comb each time. Do this for a week and I find it so much more effective than any treatments I have spent a fortune on.

Good luck x

The conditioner and comb method works best for me too, plus it's the most comfortable method for my son.

Did you try Lyclear?? If not, give it a try. Lyclear cream is really good and has helped me solve my Lice problem very effectively.
