My husband and I are applying for IVF funding on the NHS. The application process has been going on since October because Dr's don't seem to know what the process is. I'm hoping we've had a breakthrough and my new Dr applied for the funding 6 weeks ago.
I've not heard anything since and I've called the Dr's to see if they've had a response but they've had nothing yet.
Does the PCT reply to the Dr or will they send a letter direct to me? And can anyone tell me how long it takes to get an answer as to whether we can get the funding or not?
We're in Stoke on Trent. I'm concerned that the PCT's will be gone on 1 April and wll be replaced by the CCG's so I'm hoping we don't have to go through the application process again. And that there will still be funding.
