I am now 11 weeks post section and I still feel like my belly needs to go down (although that may just be me kidding myself!). I am thoroughly embarassed by the pants I now wear! Like sugarpuff says, they need to be real granny knickers - I find anything resting on my scar very irritating.

Within a day or two after the cs, I was back in comfortable regular clothes, jogging bottoms, leggings, etc. Granny pants are essential, they need to go up to your waist to cover the tender area - honestly, nothing else comes close! Within a couple of weeks I was back in a size bigger jeans, that I'd bought while I was pregnant as an in between normal and maternity. About 6 weeks after I was back in normal clothes although I didn't quite put 2 stone on, so didn't have that much to come off when you consider my LO was 10lbs!

If you haven't put too much weight on, definitely take something other than maternity for your stay in hospital, I didn't and they were literally falling off me. HTH, wishing you lots of luck xx

joggers or yoga pants are great, Granny pants to cover the scar and vest tops for feeding. I also found cardis really useful for months (my baby was born in the winter) so you can sstill feed and cover up a little too!

I was in size up jeans about 5 weeks after birth, although the stiffness of them did tend to irritate my scar a bit.

im kinda the same as above , i was pretty much back to my size just after the c-section except for a little swelling around the scar , i didnt really need to wear clothes that were too big , only for about 5 days . and as for the undies , i wore normal bikini cut ones without any problems right from the beginning , so i dont think its too horrific.

    Hi hun

I had a section 2 weeks ago and I would agree about the granny knickers, primark do them you get about 5 or 6 pairs for ??2.50. I have worn some bikinis, they've been ok but grannys are better.

I still looked 7 months pregnant for a few days after my section. My swelling has gone down quite a bit now but still there.

For me still wearing maternity wear was essential immediately post section. If you you are bfing it won't be long before your boobs start making an attempt on world domination and I couldn't have worn jeans, size wise it would have been impossible and comfort wise it would have been a no-no. Stretchy loose fitting trousers that go well above the scar would be my recommendation.

    Best wishes
