H i I've had 2 sections due to a scarred cervix, which they told me after 2 days of labour first time round!
The only thing I had written on my birth plan was no c-section!!!!! Was an emergency 1st time and planned for 2nd. I don't think it's ideal and spent many a night tearful feeling a failure as a woman cos I couldn't give birth naturally.
However after 1st I was in work 6 days later, and home 36 hours after 2nd(mainly cos i hate hospitals) and ironing that night. Recovery very good for me but same happened to me in hosp,1st went to scbu had to fight to breastfeed, which I gave up 6wks later after poor support and the fact I was strongly advised to top up with formula.
2nd was much more relaxed,I think it's best to try and put the experience behind you,I was going to complain about the treatment I recieved but midwife told me I would get nowhere!
Not driving a pain tho eh? Rest as much as you can hun and draught in help from friends and family, keep taking painkillers and have lots of relaxing warm baths x I hope you get on the mend very soon x

Yeah, fair to point out I was a carer and did rel easy stuff after section!!!!
Glad all well for you,it is a horrible experience when not prepared,if you had another you would know what to expect, but still I agree with you why anyone chooses to have a section is beyond me,obviously I did have pain afterwards, very lucky I recovered quick, but you have to take it easy, much more slowly than if you'd had a natural birth, and my scar split first time round,so then had to be extra careful.
I'm not going to dwell but I do wish I didn't HAVE to have them.
Glad someone else doesn't like morphine-god i hated it,midwives thought I was nuts to refuse it 2nd time, but made me itch and go crazy!!!!!
