I have heard about Hypnobirthing, does this really work?
I have come across the Hypnobirthing Association does anyone know about these guys and whether it is worth me following this route?

Hi there JaneR, I have both tried HB (to great success) and am a HB practitioner. I reason I like HB so much is because it actually teaches practical techniques (breathing, relaxation, visualisation and massge) that you can use during labour. How much mums get out of the course usually depends on how much mums put it as these techniques work best when practiced regularly (before birth, whilst pregnant). I would also recommend doing a Marie Mongan course which is always taught over 5 sessions as opposed to some courses which are crammed into one whole weekend. The benefit is that it gives more time to learn the techniques and recieve help from the practitioners hsould you need it. A list of practitioners can be found here http://www.hypnobirthing.co.uk/
Good luck and happy birthing.
