hi everyone, a little while back i made a post about veins in my vagina that are very swollen, well anyway they have now spread and are very very swollen and sore, it hurts to have sex and it even hurts when i go for a wee. Sorry if this freaks people out but i was told it was very common by midwife and that i will be able to have normal vaginal delivery but they seem to be getting worse and i just wanted to know if anyone else is having or have had this problem, or even if you know of someone who has this problem? i'm really worried about torn veins while pushing baby out, any advice PLEASE????????? XXops::\?

Hi Carrie, ive had this problem with 4th and 5th pregnancy. Its best to rest with feet up as often as possible and sit down whenever possible. It will go as soon as youve given birth its just the pressure and weight of baby! Ive never torn a vein during birth and my last baby was 11lb 4ozs! Try not to worry, good luck. x

    Hi,
I had them after i had my first baby from pushing. The midwife said they were varicose veins. You should put your feet up, a cold compression down there helps to!

hi. i suffer from vaginal varicose veins in pregnancy, it started in my first pregnancy and i suffered with them in all my 5 pregnancies. htye hurt like hell. it won't affect your birth but they may throb alot after wards. my midwife suggested one of those gel pads you can wear after childbirth that you put in the fridge and god did it help!!! you can use it again after giving birth as well. bless you. take care.xxxx
