This morning Bronwyn is stroppy and chewing everything in sight. She is refusing food and being a bit of a nightmare! I had a peek in her mouth, expecting to see another tooth only to find that there is a huge swelling which in the last few hours has gone a bluish colour. According to Jo Jo - Supernanny's book is an eruption cyst, and according to the internet its perfectly normal and will sort itself out!
I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this???

Thanks Nicola, will let you know when the parcel has arrived!!
Just rang NHS direct, useless!!! I told her what i think it is and she had never heard of it! They asked all sorts of stupid questions that had nothing to do with teeth!!!

Just spoke to the HV who made me feel neurotic! Apparently its perfectly normal and painful. Now why didn't I think about that???? I know its flipping painful as she won't let me touch the area, even with teething gel and she keeps screaming the house down!!!!!!
The bulge is now a blue colour and the size of a pea.

Thanks Ladies!!
No-one seems to have heard of these cysts. The cyst went down overnight, its now 90% gone! I am hoping that the tooth will cut through now!
My tooth isn't painful yet, going to ring the dentist tomorrow and see when he can fit me in!!

I spoke to Caroline about this on msn.
Sometimes when teeth are erupting a blood blister develops. It's not nice to see but won't do the tooth any harm.
