I just introduced them to whatever we eat,rather than make something separate,that way we can do family mealtimes.If you save a little bit of what you eat,keep it in the fridge overnight for Max's lunch the next day.That way he'll become accustomed to the kind of food you eat in your house.
We do curries,spicy food,and I'm a huge garlic fan,but it's not everyone's cup of tea.Harry was weaned on curry and other spicy food,obviously I was sensible about how hot things were,but I think you just have to try a few things out yourself.
