My sister had her baby yesterday on her due date
Her waters broke at 8am and her contractions were about 5mins apart, she didn't get into established labour till about 3.30pm and little baby Sam was born at 8.14pm weighing 7lb 3oz.
As most of you know i was at the birth and it was the most amazing thing i have ever seen and my sister was absolutely amazing

Thanks girls, my sister did so well, she had a bit of pethadine and a tiny bit of gas and air as it made her feel sick.
There was a very surille(sp) moment, she found it nice to sit on the toilet, so she was on there a couple of hours and when she was having contractions she liked to be left alone, so she was having contractions and i was on the side of the bath eating hob nops!
Also her hubby ended up staying through the whole birth and was very supportive

I can sympathise with your sister, the gas and air made me sick to but my midwife gave me an ani sickness injection which was like magic and meant I was able to use it.
I hope she is enjoying being a mummy.
