Any tips for giving up the dummy?

Hi there, Our first lil girl gave her dummy up a few days after her first birthday. She chewing them in half so they went in the bin. I told her if she chewed her last one that was it, they were all gone. She chewed it there and then and has never bothered since.

Ava is a lil dummy monster and can't stand to be without it. We have waited until she has got all of her teeth before trying to take it off her. She has them now except 2 back ones but she is still super clingy with her dummy. I've hidden it, asked her to give it up but she really likes it. She is 15 months old.

We aren't trying to be mean taking it off her but it is literally only out of her mouth when she is eating and we don't want it to effect her speech development. Oh, she did take it out she we took her to the petting zoo but we can't spend all day there. Lol.

Does anyone have any awesome tips for getting tiddlers to give up their dummy without too much heart ache.

not really sure if i have any tips probably just suggestions, only because we got charlie who is now 3 to give his dummy up at 10/11 months and that was because he kept losing it in the night and kept waking so we just took it off him and we had crying for the first few nights and haven't looked back since. however my step daughter who is now 7 didn't give her dummy up until she was 4 nearly 5 and it has affected her speak quite a bit so i would reccomend getting rid sooner rather than later.

have u tried the dummy fairy.... so one night before she goes to bed explain to her that u are both goin to collect up all her dummies and leave them in a special little bag or box for the dummy fairy to come and collect so she can give them to new tiny babies, then pop a little gift in the bag whilst shes asleep maybe a cuddly toy??? which she can then find in the morning

possibly try a sticker chart with a reward sticker for each day and night she doesn't use her dummy and when the week is complete maybe a little treat of some kind

or if these are too much for her to understand then i would say take the dummy away during the day and only let her have it at night time and when a few weeks/ possibly a month has passed of just having the dummy at night then do the dummy fairy/throwing the dummies away thing....unfortunatly i think u are goin to get some tears but u have to remember its simple a reaction to the action u have made and she'll be fine in a couple of days
