sounds difficult. I would not take my kids on a plane beacuse I find airports stressful on my own. soulds like blumming hard work with kids in tow. Don't get night flight obviously but have no idea other than that

We did it the other week a 1 hour flight to Glasgow purley to see how he would react sounds mad i no,we stayed over night in a hotel and came back in the morning,it took time to pre pare him though.
We started first seeing what he was like on train journeys he was ok he enjoyed it, we stayed away from crouds and showed him pictures of the train so he would have an idea what was happening, also he had his favourate books and a little computer game and his ipod with favorate songs on it.
The flight went very well his ears didn't even pop,he spent the whole time looking out the window.
Also we let the people no he was autistic in advance so we didn't have to wait around he was first on the plane they were really good about it.We might go abroad somewhere now we are so excited and more relaxed.

Hi Cmm

Congratulations, that sounds fantastic.Well in the sense that you have achieved a few goals.

My cousin has a son and he was diagnoised with serible palsey(not sure on spelling)a few months ago,and another cousin has a girl and she was confirmed totaly deaf after her hearing screen in hospital.

If you set your mind to it and go about it the way you feel best anything can be achieved.

Good luck in taking him abroad,im sure he will love it and so will you.

Take care and all the best

Emma xx

HI, id suggest u take stuff on the plane with u that he really likes?
Things to colour in? His favourite snack?
Might be worth visiting the airport before hand more and more often so he knows what to expect?
How about showing him pics of where u r going before u go?
Hope this helps
