Christmas, when we were small we used to go to see Father Christmas at Selfridges. We got to go on the tube,we were out after dark and they always did, think they still do,a theme for the grotto,so as you queue, you have something to look at.The one I remember was when it was The Rescuers. You get a little gift from the big man and mine that year was a dolly who had a real nappy complete with pins(love the 70's)
I remember my baby brother being born.I was 2 and 2 months, but I was expecting someone new to play with.I still remember the disappointment at the bald sleeping thing.I also remember my older brother and I running round like loonies, stopping only to drink all my Mum's juice.
I have lots of memories from when we lived in London. We moved out of the area when I was five, but I moved back there,or nearby as an adult, and it was strange to walk down the same streets and what you actually remember.
I loved family holidays. Not everyone's cup of tea,but we camped and we'd be playing outdoor games together, usually all the kids on the campsite, till it got dark.
Playing games together as kids.We had creations we built in the garden, shared imaginary games, there was one we seemed to play a lot involving us living in a horsedrawn cart,on the run, from what I don't know.Board games too.The advantages of coming from a large family, always others to play with
