I really feel for you!! I don't have any great story to tell as I choose not to have any of those blood tests done. I know loads of people where the figures have said they have a high chance and they have had no further tests and everything is fine. I choose not to have the blood tests as I know I would not have been able to terminate. I have spent a lot of years being very close to people with various forms of disabilities both in my personal life and through working as a care worker. One thing it has taught me is you never know what is around the corner. Any one of us can be healthy one day and not the next, so I decided to take whatever life dealt as I knew my love would be no different. Of course each and everyone of us has different opinions and I don't ever judge people on that. All you can do is follow your heart and do what feels right for you and your baby!! All the best in your decision! Keep us posted on how things go x

Hi Julie,

I'm afraid I don't have any personal experience of this situation, but just wanted to offer some support, so sorry to read of your earlier miscarraige and for the worry you're going through now, it must be such a tough time.

I have heard that this charity offers wonderful to support to anyone who needs it, before, during and after pre-batal testing: http://www.arc-uk.org/  so might be worth contacting them,

Best wishes,

Tara
