Hubby and I are fresh back from the doc office. After trying to find the heartbeat and couldnt, was told to weewee (I was bursting)...came back...got onto the table and after a little while of pushing around...finally heard the whoosh whoosh whoosh of baby Jone's heartbeat.

9 weeks and 5 days...YAY!

Been also told by my oncologist that I dont need a cervical stitch! He doesnt think its needed since only had two "small" cone loop biopsies (less taken then normal) but he does want me to be "booked early" and to have a consultant lead care.

Yeah, I really didnt expect to hear it but he was certain to find the heart for me since ive been worried about a missed miscarriage and my small symptoms that come and go...so he wanted to prove to me.
He made me listen to "me" and he said and "now baby" and there it was...faint but there. I asked if faint was bad and he said no! he said at that size he wouldnt expect it to be loud hahaha. I worry about everything!!!

I was told my my oncologist that I should be "booked early" I presume this means bloods and stuff but my doc said they wont do all that until im 16 weeks...is this normal?

Roll on scan! I want to see little baby jones now!

Music to my ears that-baby Jones-there aren't enough of us I say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wanted my lads to be Jones-yeah Tom jones-think of the comedy value there!!!!!!!!

I can't remember with Tom sorry, but I was 13 weeks when  had booking in appointment for Jc,missed first scan-purely I'd been trying and as Tom so young cycle was a bit haywire anyway,so wasn't sure how far along we were.

Jo will know, her lil smasher Merlin only 5months-sure she'll be online later with the facts!!!

Depends how they do things where you live.I was booked at 10 weeks. No bloods or wee sample.Just endless questions.Favourite question-are you and baby's father related?Er.....not so far as I know. Then it was the scan at 12 weeks. The bloods were done at the first proper antenatal at 16 weeks.Don't think they even did blood pressure till that appointment either.

I didnt have any questions asked when I saw the doc for my first antenatal appointment. He told me a scan would be booked, to sign the form and sent on my way (heart the heard at the start) and that was it. Im waiting for hear when my scan will be...but due to postal strikes it would be easier to phone me and tell me!

Im bouncing up and down...2 weeks is forever away but from finding out I was pregnant to now hit the 10 week mark has FLOWN past! So im sure it will go quick enough...just not soon enough

and "mummabear" are you a Jones woman too then We dont call baby "it" anymore...its Baby Jones *SQUEEE*...hopefully soon to be an Alice Jones...he thinks boy "Gabriel" but...a lot of family members and a few close friends also think girl...a girl would be nice in a family of mostly boys!!!

But...im just happy there is a little life in there working on getting bigger and bigger!

Yeah a Jones here-typical welsh!!!!!!

I like Alice-(being the fruit I am I'd spell it Alys) very pretty. Yeah pregnancy seems to take forever between appointments and so on,but once baby Jones is here you look back and realise it was a drop in the ocean.

I hated being pregnant-didn't cope very well at all,but I would so love to have another. A girl can dream x

thank you for your congratulations.
I didnt think I would be able to fall pregnant due to my mums history but also due to my cervical cancer surgery! I had only been off the pill for one month, had a natural period and then pregnant at ovulation!!! So it was very very quick for us! We had no idea it would have happened that soon! we were hoping at least by the middle of next year, but middle of next year baby Jones will be with us!!!!

So 10 weeks....10 weeks and 1 day tomorrow...all this counting! it makes it drag but each day extra being pregnant is a joy to me!

Im already "pooching" and clothes getting tigher and tummy poking out!!!! Boobaloobs are bigger and YAY no zero sickness! only hunger (all the time) and spots!
I just want to get to that scan! to see Baby Jones will be out of this world!!! but to HOLD baby Jones....I get more and more excited the more I think about it!
I could prattle on about it for hours hahaha

I dont blame you to want to talk about it all the time as it is just SO exciting.   lucky you no sickness my sister suffered with that for 9 months!  I had it upto about 16wks and then okay.  HOpefully you will have a nice pregnancy, I loved being pregnant despite near the end being uncomfy and the amount of wees.   Talk about it as much as you like on here....

Oh god yes-you do as many countdowns as you like, you've every right to be excited!!!!!

I hope your pregnancy continues as it is with no sickness-I was very lucky, didn't actually puke-felt rough most days but never suffered actual sickness.

When are you shopping for maternity clothes??? Ooh what pram you thinking about-I'm such a pushchair tart!!!!!!!

I have two tickers for my Connieandbaby LJ. One is a 3d one and the other is the normal ticker, you know with developing baby and every day I look at it heehee.

I am loving the belly pooch! I know its not baby and uterus is still low but its still expanding and moving things up and out! I dont think its maternity clothing yet time but mum and I have seen some lovely jeans!. I have looked at "hot milk" a maternity underwear/cami website! i shall be ordering from there. Pretty/sexy/elegant underwear!!!

Ive had no sickness, still! Only sickness is "gagging" when hungry! Im curently STARVING dispite having breakfast and then a glass of milk to "hold me off" until dinner at 2pm round my parents. I need food NOW!

Went to a club last night, drinking coke and feeling rather protective of my boobs! Yes! someone in the "cattle market" bumped my boobs so all night was sat in the booth with hubby hiding from the mass of people. We went to be "good sports" as my sister in laws engagement party. My head was pounding, bump hurting (crampies) and tired! Left at 11pm and in bed by 11:30 and fast asleep!

Now for pram! I think I want a pram/pushchair thing! But slim! I want it to be black with bits of red on it! I havent seen this yet but im SURE its out there!!!
We have decided that pram and baby stuff in lounge under window! so fish tank needs to be moved hahahaha. plans plans plans!!!!

his parents have even invited us round for dinner next week!!!! And were told that they ARE excited about baby! yet to us very "meh" and "you always lose the first" yet to their friend and neighbour they have been BURTING with joy!!!! parents in law eh!!!

YAY FOR EXCITED FEELING IN TUMMY

sooo got the buggy/pram sorted. Nearer the time got to order the glass bottles (I dont drink from plastic cuz of the risks and neither shall baby)...I do want to feed from the breast but I do want to be able to express and give Adam to Nanna and Grumpy the time to bond and feed too
These great ones I have found also have inserts for the bottle to go into (which can be recycled) so that when baby is older and drink his/herself, if dropped will not smash hahaha

But first things first...need to get to the first scan! 10 weeks and 3 days pregnant...still covered in spots hahahaha
Not as hungry today! must have been ALL the eating yesterday...give me an hour or so and I shall be on the look out for foodies!
